The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Barangay San Juan endeavors to organize an exciting and inclusive basketball
tournament in 2024, aiming to foster camaraderie, promote healthy competition, and provide a platform for youth
engagement and talent development within the barangay. This detailed project proposal outlines the comprehensive
plan, objectives, scope, activities, budget, and timeline for the successful execution of the Sangguniang Kabataan
Barangay San Juan Basketball Tournament 2024.

3. Objectives

The primary objectives of the basketball tournament are as follows:

-Promote Sportsmanship and Camaraderie: Encourage positive values such as teamwork, respect, and fair play among
the youth participants, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie within the community.

-Promote Physical Fitness and Healthy Lifestyle: Provide an avenue for youth to engage in physical activity, promoting
health and wellness among participants and encouraging an active lifestyle.

-Talent Development and Recognition: Provide aspiring basketball players within Barangay San Juan with an
opportunity to showcase their skills and talents, potentially leading to further opportunities in the sport.

-Strengthen Community Engagement: Enhance the relationship between the SK and the youth community by
organizing an event that promotes active participation and involvement from residents of Barangay San Juan.

4. Tournament Details

The basketball tournament will be organized with careful consideration to ensure inclusivity, fairness, and excitement.

-Eligibility: Open to all youth residents of Barangay San Juan, aged 15-40, regardless of gender or skill level.

-Team Formation: Teams will be formed with a maximum of 20 players per team, allowing for adequate participation
while ensuring fair competition.

-Tournament Format: The tournament will adopt a round-robin format followed by knockout stages leading to the finals.
This format ensures that teams have multiple opportunities to compete and progress in the tournament.

-Schedule: Matches will be scheduled primarily on weekends to accommodate participants' school and work
commitments, ensuring maximum participation and engagement.

5. Activities
A series of activities will be undertaken to ensure the successful execution of the basketball tournament. These
activities include:

-Team Registration and Player Selection: Facilitate the registration process for participating teams and oversee the fair
selection of players, ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria.

-Venue Preparation: Coordinate with relevant authorities to secure the venue for the tournament and ensure that it is
properly equipped and prepared for the matches.

-Promotion and Marketing: Develop a comprehensive promotional campaign to raise awareness about the tournament,
