A TRAINING DESIGN FOR THE PARTICIPATION OF

BALINGASAG NORTH DISTRICT TO THE PROVINCIAL MEET 2014

I - RATIONALE:

The promotion of sports indeed is essential as it does not only to build a healthy
people but also a healthy community. It must have an atmosphere of friendly competition and
a great desire to excel in sports. Discipline, camaraderie and understanding shall be the
prevailing rules rather that the covetous drive to win medals at all cost and by any means.

II – OBJECTIVES:

This will enhance the mental and emotional prowess of the individual athletes
and open up the channels of meaningful, interpersonal relationship among them. The aim is to
select the best athletes to the Regional Meet 2014.

III – Strategy and Levels of Competition:

The Division of Misamis Oriental is divided into 4 units. The district of

Balingasag North, Balingasag South, Lagonglong, Jasaan, Claveria I and Claveria II belong to
Unit II.

IV – Selection Committee:

The Unit Meet was done last September 25, 2014. Athletes of the different
districts in Unit II competed in different games and events. The coaches are given the privilege
to select the best athletes for the Provincial Meet 2014 in accordance to the qualifications
required.
A. Qualification of Athletes:
- bonafide Elementary pupils
- physically and mentally fit
- Parent’s Permit
- Selected as best athletes during the Unit meet 2014
- Born on 2002 or 12 years old and below

A. UNIFORMS ( For Balingasag Athletes & Officials)

a.. Athletes (72 x 250.00) = P18,000.00
b. Coaches & officials (30 x 400.00) = P 12,000.00

C. MEALS/SNACKS: MEET PROPER ( Charge to Provincial School Funds)

 D. TRANSPORTATION:
a. Initao, Misamis Oriental Venue

b. Pelaez Sports Center Venue

50 Athletes & Officials x P100.00( Vice Versa = 5,000.00

During the Unit II Athletic Association Meeting attended by all Schools District
Supervisors and District Sports Coordinators on September 23, 2014, at Balingasag District
Office, Balingasag, Misamis Oriental, there was an agreement that each district shall shoulder
the Uniforms and Transportation of their own athletes & officials.

The amount allotted for Uniforms and Transportation of the said activities in the
amount of THIRTY EIGHT THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED PESOS ( P 38,600.00) shall be
charged to the local School Board fund.
