The use of formalin and other dangerous preservatives in food has been serious problem
for three reasons. Firstly, formalin is not for human beings, but it is for biological specimens
and experiments. Formalin in Biology is a 10% solution of formaldehyde in water which is
usually used as a disinfectant or to preserve biological specimens. Thus, it is not for food
preservatives. Of course when it is used for food preservative, it will be very dangerous to
human’s body.
The second reason is that there is no tight control from the government. This condition
makes the people’s health is really in a threat. When the control is weak and the use formalin
was spread wide all over the Indonesian regions, and these days it has really happened,
the citizen’s bodies will be badly contaminated with the poisons. Fish or food traders still sell
their products which contain formalin and dangerous preservatives. Can you imagine that our
digestive system absorbs the substance that should be for the human and animal corpses?
Considering the reasons, we can make a conclusion that the use of formalin and other
preservatives is really a serious problem if it is not resolved immediately.

Air pollution is contamination of environment by chemical, physical, or biological agents.

The agents modify the natural characteristics of the atmosphere. As far as I’m concerned, air
pollution is harmful.
It’s obvious that air pollutions is risky and therefore gives some effects. It absolutely effects
human health. Nitrogen and sulphur oxides cause acid rain and erode limestone buildings.
Small particulates can cause respiratory problems, genetic mutations, and cardiovascular
diseases.
Does air pollution effect the environment? The answer is yes. Carbon dioxide will contribute
to the greenhouse effect and cause global warming, while acid rain from nitrogen and sulphur
oxides will pollute waterways. Aerosols which have a strong absorbing effect will also contribute
to warming.
We all know that acid rain damages ecosystems. The consequences of global warming
like melting ice sheets, forest fires, and migration to cooler regions reduce habitats and shift
ecosystem dynamics. These all happen because of air pollution.
What I have presented above explains some effects of air pollution. There are still other
effects. Those effects are real and we have to aware of them. I believe that air pollution is
very harmful.

Getting enough water every day is important for your health. Drinking water can prevent
dehydration; a condition that can cause unclear thinking, result in mood change, cause your
body to overheat, and lead to constipation and kidney stones. Here is how the water helps
your body.
Water helps your body to keep a normal temperature, lubricate and cushion joints, and
protect your spinal cord and other sensitive tissues. Water also helps you to get rid of wastes
through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements. Your body needs more water when
you are in hot climates, more physically active, has a fever, have diarrhoea or vomiting.
Everyone should consume water from foods and beverages every day. Although there
is no recommendation for how much plain water everyone should drink daily, there are
recommendations for how much daily total water intake should come from a variety of beverages
and foods. Water is important to maintain our body fluid, so our body can function properly.
