Promoting products is one of the main


functions of companies’ advertising to
tell people about their products. This is
implemented in a variety of ways, such
as via commercials on TV,
advertisements on websites, or even
sponsored posts on social media.When
we see these ads, they can easily leave us with some kind of impression.
They may trigger a desire to try a new item or they can make us feel
extremely loyal to a particular brand. Nevertheless, it may be a case of
more is less sometimes. They are omnipresent and, at times, even
bothersome. Although, ads sometimes give useful information, they can
be deceptive at the same time. With the aim of painting a rosy picture,
on other occasions they exaggerate the merits of their products without
regard to us. Lastly, due to the advanced technology of ad blockers on
the internet, it is becoming
increasingly difficult for
companies to promulgate their
messages. So, advertising is of a
great importance for businesses
to increase sales, but they should
be doing it in a way that is
truthful and, at least, somewhat
respectful to us, the buyers. The
ads must be educational and
amusing, not persuasive or false.
