-:: Chief Guests ::- In its seventh Edition, the competition was renamed as Prof. N. R. Madhava Menon Asian Jural Conclave 2021‐
22. This Jural Conclave was organized by Lloyd Law College with technical support from Menon Institute of
Legal Advocacy Training (MILAT) from 25th to 27th February, 2022 in hybrid mode.

The Prof. N. R. Madhava Menon Asian Jural Conclave was divided into three parts i.e., Mooting Competition,
Students' Conference and Asian Colloquium. The Mooting competition consisted of India round and the Asian
round, along with a Law Students Conference and Colloquium that was held via., online video conferencing
medium, ZOOM cloud meetings from Lloyd Law College, Greater Noida, India.

India Round (26th-28th November, 2021)


The India round of the competition was held on 26th to 28th November, 2021 to select qualifying teams from
India to participate in the Asian round. It saw an overwhelming registration from 51 teams across India out of
which 40 teams representing national law universities, central & state universities and other leading law
Hon'ble Mr. Justice L. Nageswara Rao colleges participated in the competition. The competition was inaugurated by the gracious hands of Hon'ble
Judge, Supreme Court of India Mr. Justice S Thurairaja, Judge, Supreme Court of Sri Lanka, Prof. (Dr.) Dalip Ukey, Vice Chancellor,
Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai. Hon'ble Mr. Justice L. Nageswara Rao, Justice, Judge,
Supreme Court of India was the Chief Guest at the Valedictory Ceremony.Dr. Lalit Bhasin, President, SILF and
Bar Association of India, Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal, Chief Justice, High Court of Judicature at
Allahabad, as Special Address.

Law Students' Conference


The idea of the Law Students' Conference is to provide a forum for interaction and exchange of ideas among the law students from different
countries for their excellence in legal education and professional development. Understanding the legal system of each other's country will be
mutually bene icial in the context of professional development, trade in legal services and law reform.
The Law Students Conference 2022 was held on 26th and 27th February, 2022 on the theme “Technology and Future of Law”. It was an exercise
aimed at promoting research, writing and presentation skills of law students from Asian countries. In the Student's Conference, 13 research
articles on different sub –themes under the main theme were presented.

The Chief Guest at the Inaugural and Valedictory Function were Hon'ble Mr. Justice A.M. Khanwilkar and Hon'ble Ms. Justice Indira Banerjee,
Judge, Supreme Court of India, respectively. The dignitaries who graced the event were Hon'ble Mr. Justice Anil Kumar Sinha, Judge, Supreme

S. THURAIRAJA DINESH MAHESHWARI Learned Attorney General for India three decades. The competition was organised from 15th to 18th Feb 2023.
With VIPs and guests from across the globe in attendance, the event elicited a variety of emotions. On 15th February, 2023, the event commenced with the Inaugural
Judge, Supreme Court of Sri Lanka Judge, Supreme Court of India Chair Person, Global Jural Conclave
Ceremony which was graced by the revered and illustrious presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, Judge, Supreme Court of India, as Chief Guest, and Mr. R.
Venkataramani, learned Attorney General for India, Chairperson, Global Jural Conclave as the Guest of Honour. Justice Maheshwari too emphasized that we need a Global
Community for the Global Crisis.
The event concluded with the Valedictory Ceremony, which was graced by the presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice S. Thurairaja, judge, Supreme Court of Sri Lanka, and Mr. R.
Venkataramani, learned Attorney General for India, Chairperson, Global Jural Conclave as the Guest of Honour. The International Students Journal “Lloydians” published
by Thomson Reuters was unveiled at this event by our Chief Guest, Hon'ble Mr. Justice S. Thurairaja.
The Prof. N.R. Madhava Menon Global Jural Conclave, 2023 was divided into three parts, the Mooting Competition, Students' Conference and the Judicial Colloquium:
8th Prof. N.R Madhava Mooting Competition Theme-”Economic Exploitation of Natural Resources and Humanitarian Crisis”

The Mooting competition featured twenty-eight competing teams. The Moot proposal was drafted by Dr. Anant Vijay Maria, Advocate of the Supreme Court of India, and
resolved by Mr. R. Venkatramani, Learned Attorney General of India. Twenty-two of the ifty or more registered teams from India made it to the Oral Round. Bangladesh,
Nepal, and Nigeria were some of the additional nations represented. The focus of the moot court proposal was “Economic Exploitation of Natural Resources and
Humanitarian Crisis”, which addressed the rising international legal challenges of ecocide and climate migration.

The second part of the Global Jural Conclave was the Law Student's Conference. The researchers of the mooting teams participated in the Students' Conference which was
held on 16th and 17th February, 2023. A total of 28 papers were presented in the Students' Conference on the theme 'Dynamics of Liberty and Rights in Crisis'. The
research papers were evaluated prior and the presentations too were judged by academicians from India and abroad

Global Judicial Colloquium 2023 Theme- “Crisis Management and Justice Delivery: Comparative Perspective”

As part of the Prof. N. R. Madhava Menon Global Jural Conclave, the Commonwealth Comparative Constitutional and Public Law Colloquium was also conducted on
February 17. The topic of the Colloquium was “Crisis Management and Justice Delivery: A Comparative Perspective.” At the Colloquium, faculty members from prestigious
law schools in India and abroad presented papers.

On May 7, 2022, Lloyd Law College held its Graduation and Recognition ceremony to Lloyd Law College organized annual Convocation Ceremony for the B.A.LL.B. (2015‐
