program at IAIN Tulungagung. It is about the analysis about provided journal which analyze by
the writer.

Absract:

Speaking anxieties become a big problem for the students in learning

english nowadays. This paper discusses about students strategies in

overcoming speaking anxieties in front of the class and its causing

factors. Based on the fnding, it is found that there are some factors

caused students speaking anxietiesin the class namely students were

afraid in making mistakes, they have little confdence in speaking

english, they often lose their ideas when speaking in front of the class,

they also afraid speaking spontaneously in the class. Meanwhile, it

is also found that the students applied some strategies in overcoming

speaking anxieties in the class namely the students try to be rilexs

during speaking class, make a notes, consider there is no audience

seeing his/her performance, practice in front of the mirrorr, practice

with their classmate.

A. BACKGROUND
This background is clearly enough and the writer understand about the
researcher motif so that the explanation clear. But there are some mistakes
that writer found. There is “……………… yang akan memasuki era globalisasi
dan Free Trade Era.”. Here, the researcher using two languages which not useful.
The researcher write in English without explain clearly what the Free trade area is,
so that the explanation not understand deeply. And then, the writer found some
mistakes in writing such as “…….Speaking 1, Speaking 2, Speaking 3 dan
Speaking4.”which is not appropriate to show the course. And the writer show
other different writing such “speaking 2” and “speaking dua”which is show that
the researcher unconsistent with writing.
The researcher also switches the language without giving explanation
more about the meaning. Sometimes , it made the writer confuse about what
the researcher want to say

B. RESEARCH PROBLEM
In the beginning, researcher only stated about what are useful strategy to lose the
anxiety for students so the be confident to speak English in front of class. But, in
the end. Researcher concluded beyond like the reasons of students anxiety to speak
infront of the class. Researcher not explain clearly in the beginning about this
reasons so that made the writer wondering why researcher put this reason in the
conclusion.

Research Problem : “Dari penjelasan tersebut, penting kiranya untuk


mengetahui apa strategi yang digunakan mahasiswa untuk menghilangkan
rasa cemas atau takut untuk berbicara bahasa Inggris di kelas sehingga mereka
ke depan bisa merasa lebih percaya diri dalam berbicara bahasa Inggris.

Conclusion : Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan mengenai


strategimahasiswa untuk menghilangkan rasa cemas dalam berbicara bahasa
Inggrisdi kelas dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa menerapkan beberapa
strategiuntuk menghilangkan rasa cemas dalam berbicara bahasa Inggris di
kelasyaitu (1) mencoba untuk menenagkan diri ketika berbicara bahasa Inggris
dikelas (2) membuat catatan kecil ketika berbicara bahasa Inggris di kelas
(3)berusaha menganggap tidak ada yang melihat ketika dia berbicara di
depankelas. (4) berusaha melatih diri di depan cermin sebelum berbicara
bahasaInggris di kelas (5) berlatih berbicara dengan teman sekelas.Selanjutnya
juga juga ditemukan faktor penyebab kecemasan berbicarabahasa Inggris di
kelas yaitu (1) mahasiswa takut salah berbicara bahasaInggris di kelas (2)
mahasiswa kurang mempunyai rasa percaya diri untukberbicara bahasa
Inggris di kelas (3) mahasiswa kehilangan ide berbicarabahasa Inggris di kelas
(4) mahasiswa takut berbicara secara spontan di kelas.

C. RESEARCH METHOD
It is clear enough and understandable. The researcher explained briefly.

D. INFORMANT

Informant and subject of research are different. So, here the researcher made an
informant as subject of the research. So, it is make the writer feel ambiguity.

E. DATA ANALYSIS TECHNIQUE


The researcher used Purposive Random Sampling technique to conduct the
research. Unfortunately, the researcher didn’t explain clearly. Researcher explained
about data reduction, data analysis and conclusion of data verification.
F. RESULT
In result, the researcher didn’t put researcher comments that explain the data. So
that the writer couldn’t read what the researcher view about it.

berbicara bahasa Inggris di kelas. Hal ini bisa terlihat dari data yang diperoleh

dari informan 02, 06, 12, 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 28, 33.

02 : dalam mengurangi rasa cemas saya biasanya saya bernafas

pelan-pelan sampai merasa nyaman dan kemudian menggerakkan

jari tangan.

Kemudian respon yang sama juga disampaikan oleh informan 06, 12,

20, 21, 22, 24, 25, 28 dan 33.

06 : sya dalam menghilangkan rasa cemas biasanya dilakukan

dengan cara menggerakan tangan agar lebih rileks.

[I usually move my fngers to minimize speaking anxiety]

12 : Dalam menghilangkan rasa cemas saya berusaha untuk serileks

mungkin di kelas speaking.

[I try to make myself as comfortable as possible in the classroom]

20,21 : saya akan menarik nafas dalam-dalam sebelum berbicara

bahasa Inggris di kelas.

[ I try to take a deep breath before speaking]

31 : untuk menghilangkan rasa cemas, saya akan berlatih berbicara

di depan cermin sebelum tampil.

[I try to speak with my refection on the mirorr before speaking]

G. CONCLUSION
The Researcher explained clearly enough. Only some errors spelling found in this
part.
