3cm3s-1. Find the rate of change of the height of water, in cms -1 , when the radius is
7 cm.
[Answer : 0.01949 cms-1]

2. The cube with sides, x cm, will expand when it heated. At the length of 4cm, the
volume changes at the rate of 0.52cm3s-1. Find the rate of change of the length of x,
when x = 4cm.
[Answer : 0.01083 cms-1]

3. The volume of a hemisphere is decreasing at a constant rate of 1.02π cm3s-1. Find

the radius of the hemisphere at the instant when the radius is decreasing at a rate
of 0.1cms-1.
