 Pythagorean theorem: The sum of the squares on the legs of a right triangle is equal to

the square on the hypotenuse

 Midpoint theorem: The mid-segment of a triangle is half the length of the third side
and parallel to the third side
 Triangle inequality theorem: The sum of any two sides of a triangle is greater than the
third side

Angle Bisector Theorem

Angle bisector theorem states that an angle bisector of a triangle divides
the opposite side into two segments that are proportional to the other two
sides of the triangle. An angle bisector is a ray that divides a given angle
into two angles of equal measures.

Pythagorean theorem
The square of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of the base
and altitude.

Basic proportionality theorem

If a line is drawn parallel to one side of a triangle and intersects the other two sides, the line
divides the two sides in the same ratio.

Triangle sum theorem

The sum of the three interior angles of any triangle is always 180 degrees.

Exterior angle theorem

The exterior angle formed is equal to the sum of the measures of both the opposite interior
angles of the triangle.

Perpendicular bisectors
If the sides of a triangle intersect at a point called the circumcenter, then the segments created
from the vertices to the circumcenter of the triangle are equidistant.

Angle bisectors
The line segment that bisects an angle of the triangle is the bisector, and it intersects the
opposite side of the triangle.

 Angle-angle-side congruency (AAS)

Two triangles are congruent if they have three sides of the same length and three angles of the
same measure.

 The sum of the two sides of a triangle is greater than its third one.
 The area of the product of a triangle's height and the base is equal to twice its area.
Similarity Theorems (AA, SSS, SAS)
Triangles are similar if their corresponding angles are equal and their sides are
proportional. The similarity can be established through:

 AA (Angle-Angle): If two angles of one triangle are equal to two angles of another
triangle, then the triangles are similar.
 SSS (Side-Side-Side): If the sides of one triangle are proportional to the sides of
another triangle, then the triangles are similar.
 SAS (Side-Angle-Side): If one angle of a triangle is equal to one angle of another
triangle and the sides containing these angles are proportional, then the triangles are
similar.
