Pollution by definition; is the introduction of harmful materials into the environment.

These
harmful materials are called pollutants. Pollutants can be natural, such as volcanic ash. They
can also be created by human activity, such as trash or runoff produced by factories.

Nowadays we can all see the effects of pollution in our daily lives, for example the global
warming, or the extinction of some species because of human degradation of their habitat,
but how can we help the environment? first of all we need to understand what took us to this
day, and which habit that we have that is a predominant pollutant?

Pollution has been a problem since ancient times, but its significant impact began to intensify
with the Industrial Revolution, which began in the late 18th century. The Industrial Revolution
brought rapid industrialization, increased burning of fossil fuels, and growth of agricultural
and urban activities, resulting in escalating levels of air, water, and soil pollution.
Currently, the biggest source of pollution varies depending on the region and socio-
economic development patterns.

So you can have the whole picture the main source of air pollution is the burning of fossil
fuels for energy and transportation, releasing harmful gases and particles such as sulfur
dioxide, nitrogen oxides, as for water pollution it is caused by a variety of sources, including
industrial discharges,Oil Spills from drilling platforms, Improper disposal of solid waste,
including plastics, trash and Mining Activities. Soil pollution is caused by industrial operations
such as manufacturing, mining, and waste disposal, improper agricultural practices, and
contamination from toxic chemicals.

As you can see, all of the most pollutants in the world have one thing in common: the
industries, of course just being yourself, a human, can cause a lot of pollution itself, but is
nothing compared for the devastation caused by large-scale industrial activities. However, as
individuals, we can still take steps to reduce our environmental impact and help combat
pollution.Such as: Minimize waste generation by reducing consumption, reusing items
whenever possible, and recycling materials like paper, plastic, glass, and metal. we can also
invest in renewable energy sources, participate in activities such as tree planting, beach
cleanups, and habitat restoration projects to preserve biodiversity

but what we should really do, is to to prevent industry abuse of our ecosystem, we should
make governmental changes to charge more like Implementing taxes on pollutants or
implement stricter environmental regulations and enforce them effectively. This can include
limits on pollutant emissions, energy efficiency standards, restrictions on the use of harmful
chemicals . So it can hurt in their pocket, because in the end all this damage is made only for
profit. We also should make Companies take responsibility for their environmental footprint
and adopt corporate social responsibility policies.

in conclusion, a journey of miles always starts with one step, if all of us start taking little
action to make at least your own home sustainable, we can slowly change our community
and then the country and with hope, the whole world. To ensure that our future generations
live on a healthy planet.
