How to assemble the toy
1. Sew the head to the body. For doing it, I take the thread of Yarn Art Jeans of the
same colour as the toy. I make a knot and insert the needle with the thread into the
center of the teddy`s body. Then I join it with the center of the head.
Sew the head to the body “stitch into stitch”: you have 18 stitches in the last row of the
body and 18 stitches in the last row of the head, so you have to make 18 stitches. I do it
twice to secure the sewing.
I also stuff the neck properly in the process of sewing and add some fiberfill into the
cheeks.

12
2. Tightening of the eyes
The tightening of the eyes is the same for all of my toys. So, if you have my crochet
patterns, make the same actions as it is explained there.
Consists of two stages:
Tighten the eyes down. For tightening the eyes, I take a long needle. Insert the long thread
of the body colour into this needle.
1. Insert the needle into the middle of the neck, draw it out at the center of the outer part
of the first eye;
2. Insert the needle into the center of the inner part of this eye, draw it out at the middle of
the neck where it was inserted at the start;
3. There will be a loop, tighten it;
4. Insert the needle with the same thread into the middle of the neck slightly to the right
(1sc) from the point where it was first inserted. Draw it out at the centre of the outer part
of the second eye;
5. Insert the needle into the center of the inner part of the second eye, draw it out at the
neck again. There will be a loop, tighten it;
6. Pull one end of the thread, then pull the other one. If the eyes are not symmetrical fix
them by hand.
You can leave the tightening at this stage. But I prefer to make the 2 nd stage as well, I
tighten the eyes to the center. Keep working with the same thread:
1. Insert the needle into the middle of the neck, draw it out at the center of the upper part
of the first eye.
2. Insert the needle into the center of the lower part of this eye, draw it out at the middle of
the neck again. There will be a loop, tighten it from the muzzle’s side.
3. Make the same actions with the second eye.
Thus, the eyes are set deep and beautiful cheeks are formed.
Tie the ends of the threads that are left after the tightening of the eyes together, cut them
and hide them into the head.

13
14
3. How to design the muzzle
You have to stick the nose to the muzzle. You can also cut “the leg” of the nose
(using pliers), but I don`t do it. I insert the nose between Rows 5 and 6 of the muzzle
(before inserting it, I make a hole in that place with a thick needle). Then I use superglue
to stick the nose to the muzzle.

Then sew the muzzle to the head. First, insert “the leg” of the nose between Rows 13
and 14 of the head, right between the eyes, then sew the muzzle. I do not stuff it.

Now you have to tighten the muzzle.

Take a long needle with the cotton thread, tie a big knot at the end of the thread.
Insert the needle into the centre of the head (into mc) and draw it out at the center of the
neck (the thread will be caught up with fiberfill inside). Insert the needle under the nose,
try to do it in the center and draw it out at the center of the head (at mc). Pull tight. You
can do these actions several times. In order to fasten the tightening, insert the needle into
mc and draw it out at the center of the back of the neck. Cut the thread, hide the end.

15
4. Design the eyes (embroider the lower part with the white thread and the eyelashes
with the black thread). Embroider the eyebrows at the level of Row 9 of the head.
5. Sew the ear at the level of Rows 4-9 of the head.
6. Sew the tail between Rows 7 and 8 of the body. If I make clothing for the teddy, I do
not make the tail.
Your teddy bear is done!

16

19
Fold the ear into two halves and work 5-6 sc through the both sides. Cut the thread,
leave a tail for sewing.

How to assemble
1. Sew the head to the body in the same manner as for the teddy.

20
2. Tighten the eyes in the same manner as for the teddy.

3. Tighten the muzzle. Take a long needle with the cotton thread, tie a big knot at
the end of the thread. Insert the needle into the centre of the head (into mc) and draw it
out at the center of the neck (the thread will be caught up with fiberfill inside). Insert
the needle between Rows 13 and 14 of the head, in the center between the eyes and
draw it out at the center of the head (at mc). Pull tight. You can do these actions
several times. In order to fasten the tightening, insert the needle into mc and draw it
out at the center of the back of the neck. Cut the thread, hide the end.
Then I use a thick needle to make a hole at that place where the sewing needle
with the thread have been inserted before. At this place there will be the nose. I stick
the nose with the superglue.

21
4. Design the eyes. Embroider the lower part with the white thread and the eyelashes
