During this holiday, people often clean and decorate their houses
beautifully with colorful flowers and small plants, visit close relatives and
friends and enjoy unlimited interesting parties. Besides, we go to pagodas
or churches together to pray for a peaceful, successful, lucky, healthy, and
wealthy new year. Regarding your invitation, I will be happy to join you if
you can come and see the festival in my country and I will introduce to you
more fascinating things of this wonderful holiday.
I hope the above information is useful for your presentation. If you need
more information, please let me know. Anyway, I have to get back to work/

Hi Linda,
How’s it going? It’s great to hear from you and your presentation about global
festivals sounds interesting. In Vietnam, one of the most vital festivals is Tet,
also known as the Lunar New Year festival. It typically starts in late January or
early February and lasts for about a week. Tet is incredibly important here
because it marks the beginning of the lunar calendar and allows people to
reunite with their families.
During Tet, Vietnamese people take part in various traditions, including family
reunions, special meals, and giving and receiving lucky money. The
atmosphere is vibrant with colorful decorations, and traditional music.
I'd be absolutely glad to show you around during Tet if you decide to
experience it firsthand. Let me know if you'd like more details for your
presentation! Wish you an excellent presentation.

Anyway, I am writing to share with you my family trip to Nha Trang beach,
last month. You know, this was one of the most wonderful trips that I wanted
because I could travel with my family members and strengthen our family bond
even further. Moreover, I also enjoyed my trip with fresh air, soft sand and warm
sunshine. I really like relaxing trips than an adventurous one, because I just want
to unwind instead of discovering something.
Regarding the next plan, I think I am willing to take new language courses such
as Chinese, English,…since I believe that it can be beneficial for me during our
next trip abroad. Can you share with me some photos that you took with
your dad on that journey?

family to spend our vacation together in Phu Quoc beach, located in the south
of Vietnam. I did enjoy this holiday because it brought me many beautiful
memories by taking photos with my younger sister, mother and father. During
this trip, we had a delightful time together although this was a short holiday for
my family. In Phu Quoc, we swam, watched the wonderful sunset and ate so
much fresh, delicious and affordable seafood. After the holiday, maybe I miss
the holiday experience with my family and I can apply for a new job because I
need money for the next holiday. So wonderful when you and I had wonderful

I’m thrilled to know that you are still doing fine during your journey on
a ship with my dad in spite of the fact that it is your first time. That trip
sounds exciting and wonderful.
As for me, I went on a one - week trip with my family in Da Lat last
month. The scenes on my way to Da Lat were very breathtaking and
relaxing because I really loved being outside with nature. We stopped
at a hotel near Xuan Huong Lake to rest and enrolled in various
activities such as trying out the local food, going paddling in a boat,…
Those activities were really fun and memorable so I would definitely go
to Dalat another time if possible.

First of all, I want to send congratulations for your holiday because it's such an
amazing and wonderful time with your father. For my last holiday, I went to Vung
Tau beach with my family last summer. In Vung Tau, there are breathtaking views
of the sea and sand. Besides, Vung Tau’s people are friendly, sociable, and very
polite. Moreover, the local cuisine is fresh and delicious but not expensive, for
example: crab, lobsters,...Specially, I was sunbathing on the soft sand beach
under the yellow and warm sunshine.

Hi John,
How it’s going? It’s great to hear from you and your journey on a ship with
your dad sounds really wonderful. As for my last holiday, I used my free time
last weekend to go to Hai Phong with my close friends. It only lasts for 2 days,
we tried a lot of delicious traditional foods here. I can mention some special
dishes such as Bun Ca, Coconut, Banh Mi,… the most especially is extremely
cheap seafood. Hai Phong is a tranquil city with a fresh atmosphere and
spacious streets. After enjoying the food tour, we returned homestay which
was rented in the city center. I felt very relaxed and comfortable with this trip
after tiring and stressful days of studying and working.
I only had free time on the weekends to make the journey because I had to go
back to Hanoi to apply for a new job. I have many beautiful pictures that I want
to share with you and I will attach to this email. Can you share with me some
photos that you took with your dad on that journey?
Anyway, I have to get back to work. Send my love to your family. Let’s try to
meet up soon. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Take care,

FORMAL LETTER
You are a host in London. You received an email from a student from Vietnam,
Long:
Write an email to respond to Long. You should write at least 120 words. You
do not need to include your name or address.
Dear Long,
Thank you very much for your last letter. I am also pleased to be your host
when you stay here. To help you prepare well for this stay, I will provide you
with the information you requested. Regarding my homestay, it is clean and
modern with 5 furnished rooms. You will share the room with an enthusiastic
English roommate who can help enhance your English skills. As for the
weather in London, it is quite cool, so you can bring comfortable clothes such
as jeans, shorts, hats, etc. However, in winter, it is extremely cold, so do not
forget your thick clothes to keep you warm.
It is not so far from my homestay to your university, about 500 meters, so you
can walk to your school conveniently. To get around, you can take regular
buses or trains which depart every 10 minutes or you can go by bike because
it is good for your health and environmentally friendly. Finally, to learn more
about our cultures, if I were you, I would search for London’s cultures on the
Internet in advance. Then, when you are here, you should participate in local
festivals, join some clubs and do common activities with my family. In addition,
going to the market can help you immerse yourself in our diverse cuisine.
I hope the above information is useful for your preparation. If you require any
further information, do not hesitate to contact me via phone.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours sincerely,
You are a school trip organizer. You received an email from your student,
