Export restrictions (TWA) apply to models in which Service Pack 4/Internet Explorer 4 have
been installed on the hard disk of the CR Console Lite Unit, such as models equipped with
DELL GX50 - Celeron of 1.3 GHz or more, because the encryption key bit length of the Internet
Explorer 4 program exceeds the limit.
For models to which export restrictions (TWA) apply, government approval obtained through
due procedure is required in order to export or otherwise remove such models from Japan.
Note that the same restrictions apply not only to the main unit but also to after-sale parts,
service manuals and service training (for exporting or transferring technology) when such items
are dispatched or shipped to foreign countries and when service training is given for trainees
from foreign countries.

This system is classified as a medical device under EC Directive 93/42/EEC.

It has been designed for operation by medical personnel who have undergone the
proper training and under whose direction patients will come in contact with it.

Process waste correctly, as stipulated by local law or any regulations that apply.

CR Console Lite Product Specifications

1. Overview Connected to the cassette-type Image Reader (FCR 5000 plus /

FCR XG5000, etc.) via networks, the FCR CR Console Lite uses the
keyboard, magnetic card reader (option) and barcode reader (option)
to enter patient ID information/exposure conditions and register IP
numbers. In addition, the FCR CR Console Lite subjects CR images
handled by the Image Reader to quality assurance and optimization
processing, and outputs those images to devices for CRT and/or
LCD image display, image filing or film output.

Furthermore, provided with the functions as the Built-in Image

Reader (FCR5501 plus / FCR5502D plus / FCR XU-D1 Reader /
FCR VELOCITY U) console, the FCR CR Console Lite can enter
patient ID information/
exposure conditions and assures and optimizes CR images, on the
Built-in Image Reader. (In this case, no barcode reader is required
because IPs need not be registered.)

2. Features (1) The FCR CR Console Lite enables "patient ID information /

exposure conditions entry" and "image quality
assurance/optimization" by itself.

(2) Images are sent back to the device where patient ID

information/exposure conditions were entered. It is thus
possible for technicians to work around the exposure room.

(3) Study information shared in a system where the FCR CR

Console Lite and CR Console Plus are used mixed at the
same time allows intensive management of output images,
integrated management of reservations for study when
keyboard or magnetic card reader (MCR) is used and an
exposure room moving without the need for re-input of patient
information/exposure menus.

(4) Just one FCR CR Console Lite allows you to use the console
function on the cassette-type Image Reader or the Built-in
Image Reader (up to two units for the latter) by alternately
switching from one to another.

(5) FCR CR Console Lite receives images from any Image

Reader via the barcode system.

(6) The system features worklist management on

FCR CR Console Lite when connected to HIS/RIS.

(7) The FCR CR Console Lite stores entered patient ID

information, which can be searched for by entering the
keyword such as patient ID. Note that this search capability is
not available when the FCR CR Console Lite is connected
online.

010-017-40 06.2003 1
CR Console Lite Product Specifications

(8) Preset image processing parameters are automatically

selected through the anatomical region selection menu.

(9) FCR CR Console Lite makes it possible to network with other

competing manufacturer’s PACS.
• Available for DICOM-conformed open network

(10) Due to the effects of digital image processing, the system

produces radiographs that have a high diagnostic value and
are easy to read. Both standard and high resolution reading
are user selectable.

(11) FCR CR Console Lite converts images to irreversible JPEG

images and saves them on an FD, etc. for example, for
reference usage purposes.

(12) The user authentication setup allows you to enhance the

security function.

(13) Exposure results can be output in text data format.

(14) Adoption of the touch panel type color LCD guarantees you
improved viewability and user-friendly operation environment.

storage will be erased consecutively from the older ones.

The following shows the numbers of images that the FCR CR

Console Lite can store in the hard disk:

Number of images: Approximately 2000 images

Notes: • The number of images stored is calculated based on the
assumption that high-density 14"×17", 14"×14", 10"×12" and
8"×10" images are registered with a ratio of 1:4:4:1.
• For ES images, the number of images that can be stored will be
