command. 11 So the Lord said to Solomon, “Since this is your attitude and you have not kept my covenant and my
decrees, which I commanded you, I will most certainly tear the kingdom away from you and give it to one of your
subordinates. 12 Nevertheless, for the sake of David your father, I will not do it during your lifetime. I will tear it out

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:11 There is none that understandeth, there is
none that seeketh after God.12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable;
there is none that doeth good, no, not one.13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they
have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:17 And the way of
peace have they not known:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.19 Now we know that what
things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped,
and all the world may become guilty before God.

this man has done nothing wrong.”42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your
kingdom.[d]”43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

TRUTH
Numbers 27:1-7
Zelophehad’s Daughters
27 The daughters of Zelophehad son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Makir, the son of
Manasseh, belonged to the clans of Manasseh son of Joseph. The names of the daughters were Mahlah,
Noah, Hoglah, Milkah and Tirzah. They came forward 2 and stood before Moses, Eleazar the priest, the
leaders and the whole assembly at the entrance to the tent of meeting and said, 3 “Our father died in the
wilderness. He was not among Korah’s followers, who banded together against the Lord, but he died
for his own sin and left no sons. 4 Why should our father’s name disappear from his clan because he
had no son? Give us property among our father’s relatives.”5 So Moses brought their case before
the Lord, 6 and the Lord said to him, 7 “What Zelophehad’s daughters are saying is right. You
must certainly give them property as an inheritance among their father’s relatives and give their
father’s inheritance to them.
1 Kings 17:19-24-
19 “Give me your son,” Elijah replied. He took him from her arms, carried him to the upper room
where he was staying, and laid him on his bed. 20 Then he cried out to the Lord, “Lord my God, have
you brought tragedy even on this widow I am staying with, by causing her son to die?” 21 Then he
stretched himself out on the boy three times and cried out to the Lord, “Lord my God, let this boy’s life
return to him!”22 The Lord heard Elijah’s cry, and the boy’s life returned to him, and he
lived. 23 Elijah picked up the child and carried him down from the room into the house. He gave him to
his mother and said, “Look, your son is alive!”24 Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that
you are a man of God and that the word of the Lord from your mouth is the truth.”

therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.17 Also I set watchmen over
you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said, We will not hearken.18 Therefore hear, ye

people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but
rejected it.

as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness,9 where your ancestors tested and tried
me, though for forty years they saw what I did.10 That is why I was angry with that generation; I said, ‘Their
hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.’11 So I declared on oath in my
anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ”[b]

2 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering
together unto him,2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word,
nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.3 Let no man deceive you by any means:
for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be
revealed, the son of perdition;4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or
that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
