MEMORANDUM
This refers to the letter of SMDI Consultants, Inc., to the Secretary dated 06 March 2024,
inviting the Department for a hybrid seminar-workshop to be conducted by the Pll/ Asia Pacific
Managing Director, Mr. David Goh, regarding the updates and most recent enhancements and
features in the PTV software (VISUM and VISSIM) on April 18, 2024, 8 AM to 5 PM, at the
Bureau of Quality and Safety (BQS) Conference Room, DPWH Head Office, For several years,
the Department has used the traffic engineering software provided by Pl\/ through the SMDI
Consultants to deliver evidence-based infrastructure solutions that enhance safety and
mobility for all road users.
In line with this, you and the Chief of the planning and Design Division are hereby invited to
attend the morning session of the seminar-workshop (online) from 8 AM to 11 AM. Moreover,
your technical personnel (Engineers) trained to use the PTV software are invited to attend the
afternoon session (online) from 12:30 PM to 5 PM. Hereunder are the meeting details for the
seminar-workshop:

Our Prv Asia-Pacific partner, represented by its Managing Director, Mr. David Goh, is scheduled to visit
Manila (from Singapore) on AprjJ 17-18, 2024, as part of SMDl-PTV'S marketing and technical support
services. The existing PTV technologies, currently owned and used by the DPWH Main Office and other
regional offices in the Philippines, namely:
are continuously being enhanced, and new features have been added as a result of many feedbacks
received from Pry clients in more than 3,000 cities all over the world. Moreover, Prv has been
continuously developing new products to cope with the latest emerging mobility concepts.
In this connection, we would like to conduct a hcr/J-day or who/e-cry hybrid training workshop for your
technical & management teams (i.e., planning, Technical Services, BQS, as weH as your Regional Offices'
personnel) in your Main Office, to update them on the most recent enhancements/features in
VISSIM/VISuM and discuss matters regarding the applications of these technologies using actual case
studiesorprojects.Wealsowanttohearfromyourengineersabouttheirexperiences,issuesofconcern,
comments and suggestions in the use of PTV, so that we can continue to upgrade our technologies and
further improve our services.

evaluation and assessment of the various transport/traffic engineering and infrastructure projects that
