FRONT PANEL
To remove :
1. Remove the top cover, belt cover and bed cover (see pages 1, 2 and 3).
2. Remove set screw A and loosen set screws B, C, D, E, F and G.
3. Unplug five (5) connectors and remove the front panel.

needle plate when presser bar lifter is in up position

NEEDLE CENTRING
When selecting pattern 10, the needle should be in center position of needle slot
in the needie plate, or when the needie swing is in maximum zigzag width, the distance between
both sides of needie slot in the needie plate and the needie positions should be equal.

If not.
Loosen the set screws A of upper shaft belt wheel. With the needie bar in its lowest position,
hold the handwheel in place while turning the upper shaft belt wheel to position the peg C on
the feed lifting cam in its lowest position.
Tighten the set screws A of upper shaft belt wheel.
6. Set the needle bar to its lowest position, fit the timing gauge 101360 in contact with the
needle bar cradle, then loosen one of the lower shaft hook gear screw D.
7. Turn the balance wheel slowly forwards until the gauge butts. In this position, the hook
should be between the 2 positions illustrated
8. Unscrew the second screw of lower shaft hook gear and adjust the position of the hook.
9. Tighten the screws D, turn balance wheel several times and recheck the timing and refit the
machine.

The clearance between needle and shuttle hook should be -0.10 mm to +0.05 mm. If not,
adjust as follows:

shuttle hook in the left and right needle positions to -0.1 mm to +0.05 mm by moving the
shuttle hook set plate C up or down.
6. Tighten the set screws A and B

The backlash of gears should be smooth and should be less than 0.8 mm when the tip of shuttle
hook is within the width of the feed dog as shown below.
Note: After adjusting the backlash, be sure to check and adjust the “HOOK TIMING” and the
“FEED DOG HEIGHT”. (See pages 8 and 11).

When pressure adjusting lever is at «3 » A and the presser foot B is lowered, the highest
position of the feed dog C should be 0.80 mm to 0.90 mm from the surface of the needle plate
D.

1. Set the pressure adjusting lever A at "3 " and lower the presser foot B
2. Tum on the power switch.
3. Tum the handwheel toward you to get the highest position of feed dog C.
4. Remove the bed cover
5. Loosen the set screw E and nut G
6. Adjust the feed dog height to 0.80 mm to 0.90 mm by tuming adjusting screw F.
7. Tighten the nut G and set screw E
8. Attach the bed cover.

When the machine is set for zigzag stitching, the needle should start to swing 6.3 mm to 7.5 mm
above the surface of the needle plate.

When pattern "8" is sewn with the feed balancing dial D at the normal setting mark (►) the
sewn pattern should be as indicated in the mark 0 in the following figure.

4. Remove the base. (See page 2).
5. Adjust the stretch stitch feed balance by turning the adjusting screw D in direction A or B.
6. Attach the base (See page 2)

Note: If you know the position of adjusting screw C, this adjustment can al so be made by
removing only the oblong metal plate on the base cover.

When needle threader plate is broken or bent, replace it in the following manner:
To replace:
1. Turn the handwheel toward you until the needle bar reaches its highest position and lower
the needle threader knob as far as it will go.
2. Loosen the set screw B and replace needle threader plate (Fig. 1).
3. To adjust:
4. If the hook touches the right side or left side of needle eye, loosen set screw A and adjust
the needle threader plate (Fig. 2).
5. If the hook touches the tap or bottom of needle eye, loosen set screw D and adjust the
position set plate (Fig. 3).

When replacing the BH lever or necessitating a modification, adjust thE BH lever as follows:
BUTTONHOLE LEVER
1. Fasten the automatic buttonhole foot R
2. Push forward the buttonhole sole and adjust a clearance of 2,9 mm between the spring
holder C and slider B (use for this adjustment the sewing guide from the accessories box)
3. Loosen the set screw A and move the buttonhole lever guide D. The buttonhole lever E
should touch slightiy the spring holder C.
4. Tighten the set screw A.
BUTTONHOLE SENSOR
1. Tum the power switch on while pressing the reverse button. Then press BH1 at once
«Sensor Check H or L » appears on the screen.
2. Lower the buttonhole lever E. There should by a clearance of 1,6 mm between the slider B
and spring holder C.
3. Loosen the set screw G and move the base plate F from the right to left slowly. When the
screen message changes from «Sensor L » to « Sensor H » tighten the set screw G.
4. When the clearance between the spring holder C and slider B is:
1,4 mm « Sensor Check H » appears on thé screen
1,8 mm « Sensor Check L » appears on thé screen

CIRCUIT BOARD A
CIRCUIT BOARD A
To remove
1. Remove thé front panel unit (see page 4)
2. Unpiug thé seven (7) connectors from circuit board A
3. Remove tree (3) set screws and remove thé circuit board A
To attach
1. Attach thé circuit board A with three (3) set screws
2. Insert ail seven (7) connectors
3. Attach thé front panel unit (see page 4)

CIRCUIT BOARD C
To remove
1. Remove the front panel (see page 4).
2. Loosen screws A, B, C and D, and remove set screw E and F.
3. Remove the rear cover.
4. Unplug the four (4) connectors and remove set screws G
5. Remove circuit board C
To attach
6. Attach the circuit board C with three (3) screws and insert the connectors
7. Attach the rear cover with six (6) set screws.
8. Attach the front panel unit (see page 4).
A = Circuit Board A K = Transformer (primary)
M = Machine socket (primary) 0 = Transformer (secondary)

To remove:
1. Remove the rear cover.
2. Remove three (3) set screws A and circuit board C (See page 20).
3. Remove three (3) set screws B and remove case cover D.
4. Replace fuse or circuit board C.
To fit:
5. Attach the case cover with three (3) set screws B.
6. Attach the circuit board C with three (3) set screws A.

7. Attach the rear cover.
NOTE: To replace the fuse, push the fuse out from fuse holder a with screwdriver as shown
below. Two specified fuses are used for circuit board C.

220 - 250V = 2,0 A
Fuse 2 : 120 - 125V = 3 A
220 - 250V = 5 A

DC MOTOR
To remove
1. Remove the front panel (see page 4).
2. Remove the machine socket (see page 22). No need to unplug the connector.
3. Remove the motor belt, set screw A and cord guide.
4. Unplug the connector of motor C cord from the circuit board A.
5. Remove the set screws B and DC motor D.
To attach
6. Attach the DC motor and slightly tighten the two set screws B.
7. Insert the cornnector and attach the cord guide with set screws A.
8. Attach the motor belt and adjust the belt tension.
9. Tighten the two set screws B.
10. Attach the front panel.

TRANSFORMATOR
To remove
1. Remove the front panel (see page 4).
2. Remove the circuit board A and circuit board C (see pages 18 and 19).
3. Unplug the connectors for the transformer E from the circuit board C.
4. Remove set screws D and transformer E.
To attach
5. For 120 V Attach the transformer unit with supporter plate and two set screws.
For 240 V Attach the transformer unit with tree set screws.
6. Insert the connectors (A = red and B = white) in circuit board C.
7. Attach circuit board C, circuit board A and front panel.

MACHINE SOCKET
To remove
1. Remove the front panel and the rear cover (See pages 4 and 19).
2. Remove the circuit board C (See page 18).
3. Unpliug the connectors of machine socket from circuit board A and C.
4. Remove two set screws D and the machine socket.
To attach
5. Attach the machine socket with two 2 set screws A.
6. Attach the circuit board C.
7. Attach the rear cover and front panel.

BUTTONHOLE LEVER
To remove:
1. Remove the set screw B and the buttonhole shield plate.
2. Remove the snap ring C.
3. Pull the BH lever toward you and remove it.
To attach:
4. Insert the shaft in the holes of the BH lever A (with the BH shield plate removed) and attach
the BH lever with the snap ring C.
5. Attach the BH shield plate with the set screw B.

To attach:
4. Insert the LCD light reflector D between front panel and circuit board K and fasten eight (8)
screws A.

5. Insert the connector of circuit board F to circuit board K.
CIRCUIT BOARD F
To remove:
1. Remove the front panel (See page 4).

2. Remove the two screws B.
3. Unplug the connector of circuit board K and remove the circuit board F.
To attach:
4. Insert the reverse button in the front panel and fasten circuit board F with two screws B and
isolation paper.
5. Insert the connector of circuit board F to circuit board K.

BUTTONHOLE SENSOR
To remove
1. Remove the front panel (see page 4).
2. Remove set screw A and removes the buttonhole sensor F from sensor set plate B.
3. Unplug the connector C of BH sensor from circuit board K.
4. Remove the cord of BH sensor from cord guides D and remove the BH sensor.
To attach
5. Insert the cord of BH sensor between front bracket and cord guide plate E and into the two
cord guides D.
6. Insert the connector of BH sensor C in circuit board K.
7. Attach the BH sensor F to the sensor set plate B and adjust the position so that the shield
plate does not touch the BH sensor (see page 16).
8. Tighten set screw A.
9. Attach the front panel.
Note: When replacing the BH sensor, "adjust the BH lever" (See page 16).

If the Light Bulb does not light when the power switch is turned on, turn off the power switch
and do the following:

TEST PROGRAM
When all tests have been completed, the LCD displays: SELF - CHECK END.
If no problems were detected during the test, the buzzer sounds and the LCD
displays:
CHECK OK!
If a problem was detected during the test, the LCD will display one several en-or
codes related the defect condition.
