At 2.30pm last Friday, all the children counted down from 10 and then walked into the completed classrooms for the rst time. We all sat in Class 4 (before the furniture was put in) and had our celebration assembly. The celebration that week was that the school has nally enough room for ve classes in the same building...something that the school has waited for, for over 20 years!
was razed to the ground on Wednesday. The nal jobs are to clear the site of all the builders equipment and return it to bare ground ready for seeding in the Spring. I hope you will also notice the absence of the ugly oil tank taken which was taken away last week. The remaining jobs are some softs to be tted and external lights, as well as a few minor snagging issues inside.
I am delighted that this dream has nally become a reality. performed in school this week. They have really enjoyed all the singing and acting and the nal result was lovely. Thanks to all the staff for all their work and to the parents who have kindly spent time making the costumes to help the end result look stunning!
CHICKENS
If you would like to look after the school chickens over the Christmas holidays for a day or two, please contact Mrs Stubbs in the School Ofce. We are also starting to look for helpers at weekends for the New Year. They should be accessible as normal by the end of term, so we will operate the same system of having a combination padlock to access the chickens. They really like getting visitors and you can have all the eggs you can nd as payment!
