National Honor Society, Quill and Scroll Yale Varsity Track and Field, Fall 2011 - Present Trained 6-7 days a week in fall in preparation for winter and spring seasons. Vinay Niyak Ward 1 Alderman Campaign, Designer, Fall 2011 Designed "Vote Vinay" logo for campaign, which was used for posters, t-shirts, and buttons distributed throughout Yale. Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Fall Pledge Class, Fall 2011 - Present The Harbinger Newspaper, Co-Editor-in-Chief Spring 2010 - Spring 2011 Led staff of over 60 students which produced a 32-40 page newspaper every two weeks. Newspaper roles: writer, designer, illustrator, photographer. Remodeled writing process as Head Copy Editor junior year, utilizing Google Docs. The Drum Run, Organizer, Fall 2009 - Spring 2011 Organized 5k race to raise funds to start a drumline at Cristo Rey High School, an innercity private school without the resources to have a music program. Raised approximately to $15,000 over two years, and purchased full drum line equipment and instruction for group. Featured in Kansas City Star and Johnson County Sun newspapers as well as local TV. Band, Percussion Co-Section Leader, Fall 2010 - Spring 2011 Led group of 15 percussion members on drumline in the fall. Formulated and produced shows in addition to marching show with full band. Played snare drum as a senior, and played percussion for school's top Symphonic band. Played drum set for school's top jazz band, The Blue Knights.
