DISCURSIVE ESSAY (FOR AND AGAINST)
Es un texto elaborado para expresar dos puntos de vista sobre un tema concreto.
1. Se trata de un texto FORMAL, dirigido a un profesor/a o tutor/a.
2. No usar contracciones.
3. Antes de comenzar a escribir un texto argumentativo, debemos tener claro si vamos a estar a
favor o en contra del tema en cuestión (no incluir opinión clara hasta la conclusión).
4. Elaborar dos listas en las que aparezcan argumentos sobre ambos puntos de vista.
5. No expresar la opinión de forma directa, si no sutilmente.
6. Intenta evitar repetir siempre los mismos conectores.
7. Incluir vocabulario y expresiones diversas.
• Esquematizar los puntos principales a tratar y crear la estructura (introducción + cuerpo (2
párrafos) + conclusión)
• Estructura: Título + Introducción + Cuerpo + Conclusión
o Título -
o Introducción – incluir el nombre de aquello que vayas a describir e incluir información
básica.
o Cuerpo – 2 párrafos
§ 1 = Argumentos a favor/ Ventajas
§ 2 = Argumentos en contra/ Desventajas
o Conclusión – Resumir el tema e incluir tu opinión

• Incluir argumentos a favor o en contra:
