Objective 1. To acknowledge top performing CEE students and prepare them for invitational quiz bee competitions outside the campus. To build unity among CEE students as the team composed of different year level of quizzer.

Project Overview The Civil Engineering Quiz Bee Activity will be held on CEAT AVR1 (CET 111). This will serve as a preparation for upcoming invitational quiz bee outside the campus. Rationale The aforesaid activity has been annually celebrated by the PICE as a mean for the CE Students to be naturally competitive and a preparation to the invitational quiz bee competitions. This is to apply what they have learned in the academe. This practice would let them realize how important it is to know the principles of each subject when they are about to perform their chosen field. In addition, civil engineering students would be able to distinguish those students under CE program who are courageous enough and excels in the form of this competition.

Mechanics and Guidelines of the Game 1. The participants in this Quiz Bee will be composed of twenty four (24) students, enrolled in Civil Engineering Program, which will be divided into 8 teams. 2. Participating quizzers will be selected by faculty members.
3. Each team will be composed of three (3) students, one from third year, one from fourth year and one from fifth year. 4. The Quiz Bee contains four (4) rounds; the Easy, Average, difficult and Bonus Round. For each round, 10 questions shall be given with a corresponding point of 5, 8, 10 and 15 respectively. 5. All materials will be provided by the PICE-DLSUD Council except that each member of each team shall bring their own calculators. The council shall reset all calculators to be used before the competition proper. 6. For items involving computations, the final answers shall be expressed in two decimal places with correct unit of measurement. 7. For multiple choice problems, write the letter of your preferred answer only. 8. At the end of four rounds, the top three (3) teams of the highest accumulated score in four rounds shall be declared the winners- First, Second and Third Placer. 9. In case of tie, 5 questions shall be given; and the top scorer shall get the position respectively. If another tie exists, sudden death question/s shall be given. 10. In the case of protest, the team leader may approach the academic committee (Civil Engineering Panel) for clarification, correction and/or inquiry. The decision of the committee will be final.
