International School Book Club

The International School Book Club campaign for the spring term will begin soon! Book catalogues will be distributed at the end of Week 8. For those who are not familiar with the campaign, it allows ISGR parents and staff to purchase English books from Scholastic at reduced prices. Also, by ordering books you help the school earn free books for use in the classrooms and libraries. If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering, please contact Fiona Shaw (fiona.shaw@ymail.com or 0738 910754) or Angela Graham (angelagraham@talk21.com or 0734 044691).

ISGR International Cookbook 2012

Please note that since the Monthly Coffee Morning for March is scheduled for 2 March, a Monthly Coffee Morning for February will not be held.
Two important meetings are scheduled for March: Friday, 2 March Monthly Coffee Morning Presentation & Discussion Meeting on the Role of the Board in ISGR, Ownership and our Landlords. Friday, 23 March PTA General Meeting which will include a presentation by Iona Sadler (Development and Admissions Manager) on the Council of International Schools (CIS) Visit in April 2012. So far we have received some recipes, but we need more! In order to begin assembly of the cookbook, we will need the majority of the recipes by the end of February. Please try to submit your recipes by this time! Remember that adults are not the only ones who can submit recipes. They can be submitted by students, too! Parents, please encourage your children to submit recipes they like to make or eat. Also, if you know of any good cooks in the ISGR community that will need assistance translating their recipes to English, please let us know and we will try to help. Please submit recipes electronically using the recipe template (a separate Microsoft Word file). Submit recipes to Julie Romanski (julie.romanski@yahoo.com or 0738 566 700). You can also contact Julie if you need a copy of the recipe template or if you have problems using the Microsoft Word recipe template. If you are interested in helping out with the cookbook, please contact Julie Romanski (julie.romanski@yahoo.com or 0738 566 700).
