ABACUS

An Abacus is a calculation tool used by sliding counters along rods or grooves,


used to perform mathematical functions

Napier's bones are three dimensional, square in cross section, with four
different rods engraved on each one.

A difference engine is an automatic mechanical calculator designed to


tabulate polynomial functions. It was designed in the 1820s, and was
first created by Charles Babbage.
