appeal over 2005 killing

DETECTIVES investigating the murder of a Hillsborough man six years ago have issued a fresh appeal for information. Ronald Todd, 30, was last seen leaving the Maghaberry Arms pub near Lisburn at around 8pm on December 21, 2005. His body was discovered on this day in 2006 in the River Lagan close to Governors Bridge in south Belfast. His red Land Rover Freelander had been found on fire at Green Road outside Lisburn on December 22. Turn to page 12

RANGERS fans in Ulster and around the world are this morning coming to terms with the news that the legendary club could be entering administration. Many have expressed shock that the revenue from one of the

largest fan bases in European football wasnt enough to keep Rangers out of danger. The current Scottish Premier League champions are facing an outstanding tax bill of at least 49 million a burden that could snowball to 75 million depending on the final HMRC bill for penalties and charges.

Speaking yesterday, Rangers chairman Craig Whyte said that by entering administration there will be a formal restructuring of the clubs finances. Mr Whyte moved to reassure fans that this decision is the most practical way to safeguard the long term future of the club, and added: Theres no way that

Rangers can pay that tax bill. A life-long Gers fan, East Londonderry MP Gregory Campbell, said he was confident the Ibrox club would survive the current financial crisis. I think it is inconceivable that there will not be a Glasgow Rangers Football Club, he said. See page 4 and Sport
