SCHOOLCONTRIBUTIONS NSW Public schools are entitled to set a voluntary contribution to assist in the purchase of educational supplies and resources to assist in the education of students.Ourschoolvoluntarycontributionshavebeenset at$40perstudentand$70perfamily.Thisisanimportant source of income for the school and I encourage all families to consider making their contribution an annual event. RIDINGBIKESANDSCOOTERSTOSCHOOL IwouldliketoremindparentsthatonlyYear 5and 6are authorised to ride to school and store their bikes in the school bike rack. This policy has been in place for many years and follows the recommendations of the Police and the Roads and Maritime Services related to a childs development, understanding of the road rules and increasedpersonalresponsibility.Ihavenoticedthatsome parents are accompanying their younger students as they ridescooterstoschool.Imustmakeitclearthatthisisnot theschoolspolicyandanychildrenyoungerthanyear5& 6whoridetoschoolarecompletelyunderthesupervision of a parent or responsible adult.
