during the whole semester to be eligible for the Final Exam. Participation in and contribution to
the class discussion and due completion of homework assignment will be served as plus or reward
points of class participation points.
Homework fulfillment: Homework assignments will be given every week during the semester
and will account for 10% of the overall score. The topics will consist of reading materials and
material covered in class.
Midterm Test: 2 written in-class individual assignment will be given for the Midterm Test in
Week 10, accounting for 20% of the whole assessment.
Group Project: Groups of 4 students will be assigned by the lecturer in Week 1. Each group is to
develop a proposal for a project aiming at solving real business communication problems which
can occur between managers and staff, among colleagues, between company and customers,
between company and other stakeholders, and so on. The business problems are expected to be real,
selected from a business which students know/learn from a reliable source e.g. their parents’
business or the organization where they are working on a part-time basis. The Proposal is due by

and/or writing business messages based on material presented and discussed in class.
