Pray through Gods Story (Week 9)

Focus on God
God is our Creator, King, Savior, and Shepherd. Oh come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all godsOh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker! For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. (Psalm 95:1-3, 6-7)

Respond from the Heart

Repent of your stubbornness and faithlessness. Pray for a heart transformed by the Spirit, always listening to the voice of God his warnings and his promises. Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness, when your fathers put me to the test and put me to the proof, though they had seen my work. For forty years I loathed that generation and said, They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways. Therefore I swore in my wrath, They shall not enter my rest.(Psalm 95:8-11)

Seek First the Kingdom

Pray that God will raise up men and women in the church who boldly stand for God, even when everyone else around them are against them. If the LORD delights in us, he will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land that flows with milk and honey. Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their protection is removed from them, and the LORD is with us; do not fear them. Then all the congregation said to stone them with stones. But the glory of the LORD appeared at the tent of meeting to all the people of Israel. (Numbers 14:810) Pray for Gods blessing to reach your non-Christian friend, an unreached people group, or a nation. The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. (Numbers 6:24-26)

Present Your Requests

Pray for daily wisdom. Pray for Gods blessing as we work toward the fulfillment of his purpose and calling in and through us. So teach us to number our days, that we may get a heart of wisdom Let your work be shown to your servants, and your glorious power to their children. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands! (Psalm 90:12, 16-17)

Close in Celebration
Praise and thank the Lord for his unchanging character, for the security we have in him at all times. Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. (Psalm 90:1-2)
