JV Football Team Code of Conduct

1.​ Punctuality: Be on time for all practices and games. Practice starts at 4:30 PM sharp. Arrive at least 10 minutes
early to prepare.
2.​ Attendance Count: Attendance at all practices and games is mandatory. If you cannot attend, you must notify
the coach via email at least 3 hours before practice.
3.​ Hydration: Bring a filled water bottle to every practice and game. Staying hydrated is essential for performance
and safety.
4.​ Proper Equipment: Always wear shin guards during practice and games. No exceptions.
5.​ Team Uniformity: Adhere to the team’s dress code for practices:
❖​ Tuesday - Red top
❖​ Thursday - Black top
❖​ Saturday - White top
6.​ Juggling Warm-Up: At 4:30 PM, all players will begin practice by juggling the ball. This is individual focus time,
no shooting or distractions.
7.​ Respect for Coaches and Teammates: Listen attentively to coaches and respect your teammates at all times. No
negative comments or disrespectful behavior.
8.​ Effort and Focus: Give 100% effort during practice and games. Stay focused and avoid distractions.
9.​ Communication: If you have any issues (injuries, personal concerns, etc.), communicate with the coach
immediately.
10.​ No Shooting During Warm-Up: The juggling period is for ball control and focus. Shooting during this time is not
allowed.
11.​ Team First: Always prioritize the team’s success over individual achievements. Play selflessly and support your
teammates.
12.​ Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude, even during challenging moments. Encourage your teammates
and stay motivated.
13.​ Cleanliness: Keep the practice area clean and collect the equipment after practice.
14.​ Injury Prevention: Stretch before and after practice to prevent injuries. Report any injuries to the coach
immediately.
15.​ Game Day Preparation: On game days, arrive fully prepared with all necessary gear and a focused mindset.
16.​ No Bullying or Harassment: Bullying, hazing, or any form of harassment will not be tolerated. Treat everyone
with respect.
17.​ Academic Responsibility: Maintain good academic standing. Your performance in the classroom is as important
as your performance on the field.
18.​ Social Media Conduct: Avoid posting anything that could reflect poorly on the team or school.
19.​ Commitment: Football is a team sport. Be committed to attending all practices, games, and team events unless
excused by the coach.
20.​ Sportsmanship: Display good sportsmanship at all times, whether winning or losing. Shake hands with
opponents and referees after games, and avoid arguing with officials.
21.​ Have Fun: While discipline and hard work are important, remember to enjoy the game and the camaraderie of
your team.
22. Every player must set 3 personal and 3 team goals for the season. These goals should be specific, measurable,
achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART).
