March Lacrosse Games

The Blue Hens mens lacrosse team are coming off a heartbreaker as they fell to Mount St. Marys this past Saturday 10-12. They will look to bounce back when they host number 8 ranked Villanova at Delaware Stadium on Saturday, March 3 in the first game of a lacrosse doubleheader. The Hens (2-3) have two more home games in the month of March. On Saturday, March 10 they take on Stony Brook in the second game of a lacrosse doubleheader beginning at 3 pm. followed by a game versus Colonial Athletic Association rival Drexel on Saturday, March 31 at 7 p.m. All games are played at Delaware Stadium.

Womens Lacrosse Recap The Blue Hens womens lacrosse team are coming off back to back home wins against Villanova and Lehigh before falling to #18 Georgetown to put their overall record at 2-2 entering the weekend. They will look to continue their home winning ways when they host LaSalle at Delaware Stadium on Saturday, March 3 in the second game of a lacrosse doubleheader following the mens game at 12. The Hens have two more home games in the month of March. On Wednesday, March 7 they take on UMBC at 4 p.m. followed by a game versus Penn State on Saturday, March 10 in the first game of a lacrosse doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m. All games are played at Delaware Stadium.

The Blue Hens closed out their season with an 82-72 victory over Colonial Athletic Association rival Northeastern last Saturday. Saturday was also Senior Day for the mens team as they honored two seniors on the 2011-12 roster prior to the game. The Hens (17-12) are currently riding an eight game win streak as they look to build off of that momentum heading into the post season. The Colonial Athletic Association Mens Tournament begins on Friday, March 2 when the #5 seed Blue Hens take on #12 Towson. All mens postseason tournament games will be played at Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia.

Blue Hens Mens Basketball Recap

#8 nationally ranked Blue Hens womens basketball are coming off an 89-71 victory on Sunday against Northeastern in the last home game of the regular season in front of a sell out crowd at the Bob Carpenter Center. The game was also Senior Day as the Blue Hens sent four seniors out on a positive note. The Blue Hens (27-1) finished undefeated at home throughout the 2011-12 season and will look to continue their winning streak into the Colonial Athletic Association post season tournament which will take place March 8-11 at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, MD.
