Pray through Gods Story (Week 11)

Focus on God
Proclaim back to God his greatness and goodness and recount where in the previous stories you have seen that. For I will proclaim the name of the LORD; ascribe greatness to our God! The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is heRejoice with him, O heavens; bow down to him, all gods, for he avenges the blood of his children and takes vengeance on his adversaries. He repays those who hate him and cleanses his peoples land. (Deuteronomy 32:3-4, 43)

Respond from the Heart

Ask God to forgive the stubbornness of our hearts. Pray that he will turn our hearts toward him. Beware lest there be among you a man or woman or clan or tribe whose heart is turning away today from the LORD our God to go and serve the gods of those nations. Beware lest there be among you a root bearing poisonous and bitter fruit, one who, when he hears the words of this sworn covenant, blesses himself in his heart, saying, I shall be safe, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart. (Deuteronomy 29:18-19)

Seek First the Kingdom

Pray for the transformation of the hearts of your family and friends toward more love for God. And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, so that you will love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live. (Deuteronomy 30:6) Pray for many households to be together in worshipping and rejoicing before God. And you shall rejoice in all the good that the LORD your God has given to you and to your house, you, and the Levite, and the sojourner who is among you. (Deuteronomy 26:11)

Present Your Requests

Pray for a more intimate relationship with God. Pray that as you grow intimate with him, he will unleash his mighty works through your life. And there has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, none like him for all the signs and the wonders that the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land, and for all the mighty power and all the great deeds of terror that Moses did in the sight of all Israel. (Deuteronomy 34:10-12)

Close in Celebration
Praise God for all the things he revealed to us in his Word. The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29:29)
