Combats Sports Cluster Night a. Objectives i. Unity ii. Develop sense of belonging iii. Reinforce clusters nature b. Activities i. Caterpillar 1. Term it a motivational activity; icebreaker is incorrect 2. Clyde: Use it as a pre-activity to set the mood for the rest of the activities 3. Maam Val: Objective should be behavioral; example: members should be acquainted with 5 members from each org; unity is not bad/negative

but it is vague; make guidelines for what you need to do, make the objectives behavioral and ask yourself, so what? 4. Enzo: Is there a way to make it distinctly combat sports? 5. Maam Val: What if you make participants do specific moves to acknowledge members from other clusters ii. Fight Scene Choreography 1. Jio: Members will come from assorted orgs; multiple disciplines will be seen in the demonstration; there will be judging and skillfulness of participants will be seen. 2. Maam Val: What if you make participants do moves only from that of another org? 3. Enzo: What happens during showtime? Everyone will rumble at the same time? 4. Jio: I will provide a scene/context for them, it wont be a simple fight scene. 5. Maam Val: You can have this one activity for just the whole night; dont limit yourself to activities to fun and games/moving around. 6. Jap: Why dont you just incorporate the Amazing Race into the choreography? You can have people stationed to teach during Amazing Race. 7. Jio: Comment of org moderators disciplines taught would clash. 8. Maam Val: org members need not adapt the technique of the orgs, they just need to appreciate it. 9. Jio: They just need to use it for the sake of the competition. 10. Maam Val: Its not meant to change their form, its just meant to appreciate the style. 11. Clyde: Org moderators have not considered that the disciplines can be taught just for added knowledge. 12. Jio: Org moderators are just concerned because they are professionals 13. Maam Val: In terms of emotional techniques, they just need to be more open-minded. 14. Maam Val: Just talk to Ser Ron in order to find a way to phrase it better to org moderators. 15. EG: During PAC cluster night last year, orgs exchanged more of attitudes/philosophies rather than just the skills. 16. Maam Val: Always invite the A-Team to events. 17. Enzo: Post the file and then the CSO core group will comment. iii. Amazing Race Maam Val: look at objectives of each activity; not logistics and finer details. Martin: Think of this years cluster night and what you want to happen; do not compare yours to last year; brainstorm for activities. Maam Val: You do not need to ask for help from/be dependent the past batches; this is your year to organize, do not be to clingy to the past. Martin: Ser Ron has not yet seen a cluster night that makes him go wow. Cluster Night moderator: Ryan Gialogo, Arnis Society Evaluation of Activity Objectives i. ACTIVE = SYNCHED; the OSA team should have the same goal and vision and not have redundant/council-specific goals.

IV.

i. Cluster Heads will be given letters inviting them to join cluster night as well. ii. Org Heads should be utilized in preparations over Core Group. iii. Core Group need not stay over night for Cluster Nights. iv. Planning Committees should be made within the cluster core group. b. Ser Ron has suggested the merger of the Publications and Communication cluster into the Publications-Communication Cluster. i. Rationale: Publications also communicate; Communication cluster orgs need venue to communicate (publications); Blue Book may become a standing committee in the coming school year. ii. Neither cluster head will be replaced; they will jointly helm the cluster. iii. They will have one unified cluster night instead of 2.
