This is an introduction to providing first aid for minor injuries and recognizing more serious injuries. It is not a substitute for a first aid training course or CPR course from a recognized agency.

Move victim to fresh air if inhalation injury DO NOT place yourself in danger Observe victim for breathing trouble, seizures, loss of consciousness

Movement of Victims
In the event of a serious injury, the victim SHOULD NOT BE MOVED unless the situation is such that it will cause further injury to the victim

Movement of Victims (Minor Injuries)


In the event of a minor injury, the victim may go to the University Health Center for examination and any necessary further treatment The Chemistry Department requires that all injuries be reported to the Lower Division Stock Room

Give as much information as possible when calling 911 or 301405-3333 or #3333 from
Verizon, Sprint, ATT, and T-Mobile

Have as much information as possible for arriving emergency personnel
