The given bar (column) graph depicts the comparison of percentage in the

age span of 8 – 14 year old boys and girls who take part in various activities

during a fort night.

The classification of activities is outdoor games, cycling, watching T.V. ,

playing electronic games and computer games as well as arts and crafts.

At a glance, it seems clearly that the most preferable activity among both

the genders is ‘ watching T.V. ‘ ( 90%).

Arts and crafts is the least popular activity among boys whereas outdoor

games ( 25% ) was least selective activity among girls.

Girls lag behind by 10% ( 70% ) compare to boys ( 80% ) in playing

electronic games and computer games.

Only the watching T.V. is the activity in which boys and girls take the same

interest so far as spending time is concerned.

In conclusion , it can be said that lads and lasses have different choice of

spending hours on various activities except ‘ watching T.V. ‘ .
