The January 2012 General Membership Meeting will be held on Monday January 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Meeting site is the IBEW Local 160 Union Hall at 2909 Anthony Lane in St. Anthony, MN Attendance prizes are awarded at each General Membership Meeting. ANNOUNCING COPA CLUB 2012

$500.00 Cash Prize Early Bird Drawing!

The Minneapolis Area Local announces the 2012 COPA (Committee on Political Action) Club and the carry over of our $500 Early Bird drawing! All enrolled by March 1, 2012, will be eligible for a one time cash prize of $500 if your name is drawn for the Early Bird drawing! The winner will be announced at our March 26th 6:30 PM General Membership Meeting and subsequent Flash Bulletin. In 2012 our COPA goal is $12,500.00. In addition to our Early Bird drawing we will award 6 cash prizes of $100 to anyone whose name is drawn from our COPA club each time the thermometer reaches a $2,500 level throughout the entire year! Drawings continue and so do your chances! Who can belong to the COPA Club? All APWU Members, *Family, and Retirees! How do I enroll? With a minimum of $1 per pay period through PE or EFT members will be enrolled and continue to be eligible for all prizes as long as you continue uninterrupted contributions! PE and EFT contributors who were enrolled in 2011 and have maintained their contributions are automatically enrolled in the 2012 COPA Club and eligible for all prize drawings! Cash contributors of at least $25 will also be enrolled! *non-member family and inactive retirees must send their cash contributions directly to the Local at Minneapolis APWU 1234 - 4th St NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413 in order to be locally acknowledged! (We will forward the contribution to COPA at the National Office) If I send a contribution or contribution form to APWU National does the Local get credit and am I thereby enrolled in the Local COPA Club? YES! National APWU sends the local periodic updated lists of members and their contribution methods. We then add them to our Local COPA Club database! We have a number of additional scholarships for graduating high school seniors that will start to become available in the next month the forms are not out yet. Please watch the Flash Bulletin for announcements regarding them. Also, please be aware that those upcoming applications will require certification of union membership; which we will prepare for you when you call for the forms.
