The Monarchs Message

My fellow Prophets, Let me start off by welcoming three new prophets to the Cinema realm: Omar Cervantes (North Hollywood Lodge No. 542), Ric Maddox (Burbank Lodge No. 406) & Peter Babaian (Burbank Lodge No. 406). Thank you for becoming new additions to our wonderful group - your presence and enthusiasm for the craft is surely appreciated! During a weekend in April, myself and a few of my fellow prophets - Roger, Chad & Joey - made our way to Las Vegas. And, it was a fantastic trip. It was complete with great food, great sights and best of all, great fellowship. The laughter was non-stop, with Chad taking the lead in that regard. On our way home, we made a decision to make a Las Vegas trip a yearly MUST! Hopefully, more of my brothers can join us next time. During our April meeting, several ideas were mentioned for future events and social gatherings: baseball games, paintball matches and Dan Hoods glorious idea, Hillbilly Horseshoes. In my opinion, any event that gets the people out and having a good time is fine with me. I am, however, a little reticent about paintballing with Roger Puckett - that guy has had it out for me since I was Chief Justice! I hope to see everyone at our May meeting - Invite your family to the after party at Chi Chis too! Why? Cause thats what the Grotto is all about!

On the Road...with our Secretary

Prophets, My wife and I have officially started our 2012 road trip! We spent eight days at the Grand Canyon - it snowed on April 14th! We then trekked to the Western Grotto Association fund raising BBQ and business meeting, held in Kingman, AZ. It was a great time spent amongst my fellow prophets, including my great friend and Cinema member, Richard Landon, and his wife Rita. Recently, we were in Laughlin, NV, partying with some good people from Zula Grotto - we attended their annual Bring a Friend to Laughlin and Party with Zula event. The prophets of Zula were indeed the epitome of good fellowship! I hope everyone enjoyed the April meeting. Im sure Assistant Secretary, Vlad Badong, filled-in quite well for me.
