EMI SIG Annual Meeting

Categories for EMI SIG awards: Excellence in Emergency Management Outstanding Service in Emergency Management Meeting Presentation TRADEing POST Excellence in Emergency Management Criteria: Individuals are recognized for outstanding service to the emergency management profession, including providing service to the EMI SIG, sharing useful emergency management information across the EMI SIG, and presenting on emergency management topics at EMI SIG meetings. The recipient must be a member of the EMI SIG and a DOE contractor employee.

Eligibility:

Nomination: Nominations can be submitted by completing the Award Nomination form in the meeting information packet. Selection: Frequency: One or more individuals will be selected by EMI SIG Steering Committee members to receive this award. The award will be made annually at the discretion of the Steering Committee, based on review of the nominations submitted by EMI SIG members. The award will include a plaque and desk set to the recipient and letter of commendation to the recipient's site management.

Award:

Exclusions: EMI SIG Steering Committee members are not eligible for this award while serving as a Steering Committee member. Presentation: The award will be given during the opening plenary session of the EMI SIG annual meeting.

Outstanding Service in Emergency Management Criteria: This award recognizes a DOE Headquarters or Field federal employee for outstanding service to the emergency management profession, including providing service to the EMI SIG, sharing useful emergency management information across the EMI SIG, presenting emergency management topics at EMI SIG meetings, and enhancing emergency management activities across the complex. The recipient must be a member of the EMI SIG and a DOE Headquarters or Field federal employee.

Meeting Presentation Criteria: This award recognizes outstanding presentation(s) in terms of useful information and presentation skills exhibited by the presenter during the annual meeting. The recipient must be a member of the EMI SIG and a DOE contractor employee who serves as a presenter during the annual meeting. The candidate will be selected by the EMI SIG Steering Committee before the closing session of the annual meeting. The award will be made annually at the discretion of the Steering Committee, based on critique of the annual meeting presentations. The award will include a plaque to the recipient and letter of commendation to the recipient's site management.

TRADEing Post: Training Product Criteria: Eligibility: Selection: Contractor exhibitors with the most useful training product(s) receive awards. The award is given to a DOE contractor organization that is active in the EMI SIG and exhibits a display during the meeting. The candidate will be selected by the EMI SIG Steering Committee before the closing session of the annual meeting. The award will be made annually at the discretion of the Steering Committee. The award includes a plaque to the recipient and letter of commendation to the recipient's site management.

TRADEing Post: Emergency Management Informational Display Criteria: This award is for the most informative display(s) on emergency management programs or activities at contractor facilities. The display can focus on the overall contractor Emergency Management Program or any portion of the program to highlight organization, equipment, special capabilities, or outstanding performance. The award is given to a DOE contractor organization that is active in the EMI SIG and provides an informative display of the organization's emergency management program or activities during the meeting. The EMI SIG Steering Committee will select the winner before the closing session of the annual meeting. The award will be made annually at the discretion of the Steering Committee. The award includes a plaque to the recipient and letter of commendation to the recipient's site management.
