I'd like to thank parents for taking the time to provide feedback about our interim report cards. If you haven't had time to share your thoughts, feel free to email me. It is never too late to let us know what is working and what needs to be revamped. It is only through ongoing communication we are able to work together effectively for the benefit of our students. Spring is here and we are quickly drawing near to the end of the school year. As the weather becomes nicer, our students become more involved in outside activities. We have had many students come without jackets or hoodies in the past couple weeks. With spring squalls a possibility, I ask that you ensure your child has appropriate clothing for weather conditions. At this time of year we also find students getting low on pencils, pens and paper. Please take a moment to check with your child to ensure he/she has enough supplies to last through the end of the year. Thank you for your continued support. Together we truly do make a difference for our students.
We would like to offer a special thank you to the parents who provided such a wonderful supper to the staff during parent teacher interviews.
Mrs. Douglas Principal

Renaissance News
On April 3rd we had a Mardi Gras Academic Celebration with a special appearance by Oopsie Daisie The Clown. Oopsie Daisie was a fabulous addition to our pep rally by painting faces, making balloon animals and even stunning our audience with magic tricks. Our gym was filled with supportive parents, grandparents and program sponsors as over half of Pioneers students received recognition for their achievements during the second term. It makes us proud to see so many students working hard to achieve well. Congratulations to all who worked hard to achieve their goals. This month we also honoured students who made an effort to achieve higher on their overall grade and kept a B standing in all of their other subjects. This term we recognized over 30 students who improved their overall average. Well done everyone! We would also like to thank all of our sponsors and volunteers for their generosity to our students and our school. Thanks for believing in us.
