NCO Roles & Responsibilities

Department Appointment Roles & Responsibilities

• To assist OC unit & Adjutant in running the unit.
• To supervise & ensure the smooth operation of the unit.
• To coordinate all NCO-related activities.
NCO Coordinator
• To supervise & ensure the smooth running of weekly trainings.
Coordinators
• To supervise & advise on the operation of the various departments of the unit.
• To conduct NCO meetings at the end of each term.
NCO Assistant • To assist the NCO Coordinator in his / her duties.
Coordinator • To step up as the NCO Coordinator in his / her absence.
• To plan & determine the training syllabus for the various squads.
• To plan the training programme for the various squads.
• To collaborate with Welfare Department to incorporate welfare activities (e.g. physical
Training Head trainings, games, sing along, etc…) into the weekly trainings.
• To be well-informed of the progress of the trainings of the various squads.
• To report to the CI & TO on the training progress of the various squads.
• To conduct Department meetings before every NCO meetings.
Training • To follow the drill training syllabus.
Department • To plan, prepare & conduct all drill trainings.
Drill Instructor
• To report to Training Head on the progress of drill trainings of the various squads.
• To work together with Logistic Department on the logistics required for all drill trainings.
• To follow the campcraft training syllabus.
• To plan, prepare & conduct all campcraft trainings.
Campcraft
• To report to Training Head on the progress of campcraft trainings of the various squads.
Instructor • To work together with Logistic Department on the logistics required for all campcraft
trainings.

• To manage all administrative matters (e.g. attendance, records, issue & collection of forms
and articles, etc…) in the unit.
• To report to CI & TO on the operation & progress of the Administration Department.
Administration • To supervise & assist the squad Administration NCO in managing the administrative

Head matters in the various squads.

Administration • To plan & manage all the notice boards.
Department • To manage all administrative matters in the NCO squad.
• To conduct Department meetings before every NCO meetings.
• To take down minutes for all NCO meetings.
• To handle all administrative matters (e.g. attendance, records, issue & collection of forms

and articles, etc…) in the various squads.
Member
• To assist the Administration Head with all the notice boards.
• To manage all logistic matters (e.g. stock-check, restock, issue & collection of stores,
etc…) in the unit.
• To report to CI & TO on the operation & progress of the Logistic Department.
Logistic Head • To supervise & assist the squad Logistic NCO in managing the logistic matters in the

• To manage the arrangement & cleanliness of NPCC room.
Department
• To conduct Department meetings before every NCO meetings.
• To handle all logistic matters (e.g. stock-check, restock, issue & collection of stores,

Logistic Member etc…) in the various squads.

• To assist the Logistic Head with stock-checking & restocking of stores.
• To assist to assist the Logistic Head with the management & cleanliness of NPCC room.

• To supervise & assist the squad Welfare NCO in managing the welfare matters in the

Squad Assistant • To assist the Squad Head Instructor in his / her duties.
Head Instructor • To step up as the Squad Head Instructor in his / her absence.
• To conduct or assist in all squad training.
• To report all squad matters to Squad Head Instructor / Squad Assistant Head Instructor.
Squad Instructor
• To know all squad cadets & build rapport with them.
• To work together as a team to cover & support each other.
