II. BRIEF CONTEXT/PERSPECTIVE OF THE ACTIVITY
The Pride Color Parade is a vibrant celebration of love, identity, and the ongoing
fight for LGBTQ+ rights. It serves as both a joyful expression of individuality and a
powerful reminder of the struggles faced by the LGBTQ+ community. This activity
aims to foster inclusivity, raise awareness, and show solidarity with PALAUIG
LGBTQ+ individuals through creative expression and community engagement that
highlight the importance of equality and acceptance for all.
III. OBJECTIVES
1. Promote Inclusivity and Diversity
To celebrate and promote awareness of the diversity within the LGBTQ+
community by showcasing the symbolic colors of the Pride flag, each
representing values such as life, healing, sunlight, nature, harmony, and spirit.
2. Encourage Community Participation and Unity
To bring together individuals from all backgrounds in a united, supportive
environment that fosters respect, understanding, and solidarity with the Palauig
LGBTQ+ community.
3. Educate and Advocate for Equality
To use the parade as a platform for educating participants and spectators about
LGBTQ+ rights, history, and current issues, encouraging active support and
advocacy for equal rights and social justice.
