We dont have many rules, but these ones what we have are important.

Openness Open communication, communicating the whole progress, obstacles, problems, dilemmas openly in public from the beginning. Open meetings to everybody- to volunteers, partners, fans, journalists. Open communication to everybody in teams.

2. Honesty Dont hide problems, dont afraid to talk about problems in the process and ask for help. Honesty is important brick in the trust wall. We do everything in ethical and honest way. We dont mass with rules, laws or money in order to reach our goals.

We dont blame. It doesnt matter who are guilty in waste problem, we will solve this problem, we are focused on results, on future. We remain positive throughout the process, avoiding blame and scapegoats especially at the beginning. Expressing active attitude. We are not fighting against..., we are working together towards....

4. Cooperation
This is our core value. We BELIEVE on cooperation. We believe that together, sharing common values, common goals, we can change the future. We can make the World healthy and better place to live in, with beauty, harmony and joy. For example we dont have sponsors, we have partners. Partners supports us not only with finances and services, we expect them to join also personally. We ask them to join teams, participate in the meetings. We deliver the ownership of the project to all society.

5. Fun
We are working hard, but we do it with fun. If there is no fun anymore, you have lost your right way. Make a stop and recalculate your route. Make people to enjoy the project, make them enthusiastic about moving towards a clean world. We are organizing a big party with celebration. Cleanups are like cheerful mornings before the main celebration, full of cheerful expectation, joy and preparations. Treat every problem on your way with furore Ooh, cool! How we can solve this? Lets do it!. Celebrate every success.

You all know logo of Lets Do It! Its symbolize our core values and cooperation.

The meaning of the LDI logo


The idea of the logotype is to show that we all together in cooperation can successfully reach our objectives as well as mutually important goals for all of us. We are integrating men and women, kids and elderly people representing all seven continents. Within the seven circles smiling faces are depicted reflecting our unanimous desire to live in a world friendly and inclusive of ethnic communities and religious faiths living together like seven colors of rainbow. Lets do it! is a universal appeal to all for the joint efforts, active participation and cooperation for making the world, a better place to live in, with beauty, harmony and joy.

Why this logo?


Why there is no trees, leafs, green hands which communicate environmental movement? We are not environmental organization, we are social movement. All problems on the Earth are in the hands of human being, in our hands. We can solve problems on Earth we are responsible for. Together. No matter who you are.

Why this logo?


We are not movement about waste and cleanups. Its the first step towards a Clean World. Our dream is waste-free, a Clean World with harmony and joy. The core is cooperation and inspiring people to solve the problems together.

All countries are free to design their logos, except they cant change the sign. It has to remain as it is.

HOW TO MAKE THE LETS DO IT BRAND MORE INTERESTING?

1. Core values into action and deliver the ownership


Put these core values into action and deliver the ownership of Lets Do It and the project to everybody in a team and in a sociaty. Start communication from the beginning and highlighting all the process. Give partners and organizations chance to use your logo and take a responsibility over some part of project.

2. Make it as local as possible


Important to get to everybody, also include small local channels to the PR campaign, to raise discussion and participation in the local level. Examples: regional coordinators on place, Cambodia bicycle-tour to villages, local mapping events, projects at schools etc

3. Make it as visual as possible


Mapping as visual tool enables you to get in touch with local people, local partners and local media. Pictures, videos, graphics to show the real, undeniable extent of the problem!

4. Use inspiring spokes persons!


Let them speak from heart and mind. Ps very important! Using a range of national leaders and respected stars from music, theatre, sport, media ( journalists!) to step up and state their own message in the campaign, regarding the project. Also engaging minority group leaders.

Having a strong spokesperson(s) for the project, also personal public support from the local community leaders and cultural leaders helps a great deal.

5. Let people to make communication bythemselves.


Let people play with LDI. Provide them a chance to spread the campaign, by downloading free materials - posters, flyers, stickers. To link web-banners to their homepages, blogs etc. Inspire people to spread the campaign.

7. Set inspiring and ambitious goals


Set very clear goals, what you want to achieve and show, what everybody needs to do in order to fulfill it. Example: 1 day, 10 000 tons of garbage, 40 000 volunteers needed 1 year, 100 countries, country-wide cleanups The biggest recycling exersise

8. Dont seem too professional in graphics and ads


Depends on country, but try to be close to people. Show that there are just ordinary people full of joy who are working together towards clean country. Sometimes homelike, woolly, a bit unfinished campaign, which done wuth enthusiasm seems more sincere than very well tuned print advertising done by advertising agency. This is not the rule, but angle to think about to show that you are true grassroot-movement.

9. Play and have fun!


Integrate fun in your project. Celebrate success. Examples: press conference in an unusual way or at unusual place, flash-mobs ( dance, bottle on ground waiting for a pickup etc ), mapping contest, photo or video contest, waste-fashion show ( clothes are made out of waste)
Warning! Dont lose your credibility! Have fun, but be still serious about your intentions.

Stay constructive and positive ! Have good partners for support Appeal for the general interest and general good at the hardest moments
