AIRLINE TICKETING GUIDELINES


1. A separate flight coupon is required for each change of carrier and for each portion of the journey where a change of flight, change in RBD, or a stopover is involved. When using the manually issued ticket, select the form of passenger ticket in accordance with the number of flight coupons required. All tickets issued initially in conjunction with one another shall be of the same form code and shall be completed in numeric sequence.

4. If the ticket contains more coupons than are required, the appropriate spaces in the Good for Passage Section shall be marked VOID. 5. The issuing office will deliver the ticket to the passenger or the passengers representative with all the flight coupons intact (except VOID or surface coupons).

6. Always issue a separate passenger ticket for each passenger. 7. Adhere strictly to all Ticketing Time Limit requirements established by the carrier. 8. Dates shall be composed of two numerics for day followed by the first three letters of the month. 9. Country codes used to identify taxing countries shall be those established by the International Organization for Standardization. 10. Currency codes entered on tickets will be the IATA approved codes.

11. Flight coupons must be honored only in sequence as shown on the passenger coupon and such flight coupon(s) shall not be accepted for the carriage, exchange, or refund, and are not valid unless accompanied by the passenger coupon. 12. The fare paid shall only be applicable when the international travel actually commences in the country of the point of origin.

13. A ticket is not valid for transportation unless it is properly validated. 14. Proper ticketing avoids passenger inconvenience. 15. Print clearly. 16. Documents are not transferable from the passenger named thereon to any other person.

17. MCOs should not be issued when a ticket can be issued.
18. Erasures render the ticket invalid. 19. NUCs are not a currency. 20. All ticket entries must be in block capital letters. 21. Never use ditto marks.

Rate Sheets it is the common source of fare calculation provided by the respective airlines showing the different sectors flown by the airlines with corresponding airfares.

Establish the type of journey.


One-way (OW) Round Trip (RT) Circle Trip (CT) Example: Manila/Hong Kong/ Bangkok/Singapore/Manila Round the World (RTW) Example: Manila/Tokyo/San Francisco/New York/London/ Frankfurt/Athens/Bangkok/Manila Open Jaw (OJ) Example: Manila/Hong Kong-Macau/Manila. The Hong KongMacau section is not part of the ticket.

2. Establish the category of air fares published with a rule reference. This rule sets out condition governing the application of the fare. 3. Fares published with direction codes global indicators can have different Maximum Permitted Mileage.

4. If no direct flights exist between points of origin and destination, fares must be constructed using the mileage system. The correct steps are: 4.1 Establish the Fare Break Point (FBP) for each fare component

4.2 Establish the Neutral Unit of Construction (NUC) which is the equivalent to the Local Currency fare and global indicator 4.3 Note, read and act on the Conditions (COND) provided in a rule.

4.4 Note the Maximum Permitted Mileage (MPM) 4.5 Add the Ticketed Points Mileage (TPM), this refers to the distance between pairs of points published in the TPM Manual.

5. The resulting total of each component is the Construct Fare (CF) 6. Check and apply any minimum fare rule shown in the General Rules book of the Passenger Air Tariff

7. Add the CF of all fare components for a Total (TTL)

9. Complete all the relevant boxes of the Ticket with the applicable taxes
