What is a Brand?
 Brand is a name, term, sign, symbol, or
design, or a combination of them,
intended to identify the goods or
services of one seller or group of
sellers and to differentiate them from
those of competitors.
Need of brands.
 Sellers can develop a sense of trust
among the consumers.
 Emergence of new brands. Consumers
have more variety of products coming
into the market satisfying their needs.
 Status factor – customers are ready to
pay a high price.
