Weight feeder

Load per unit length multiplied by speed of rate of transfer in unit time &
then integrated.
Rate signal is compared with set rate & error signal is produced.
Controls belt speed through thyristerized D.C. controller.

LEVEL CONTROL OF ROTARY PACKER

Vibro fork is placed in rotary packer.
When the fork is above the cement level vibration signal
through quartz crystal sent to relay contact.
Relay controls the valve to feed cement in bags.

KILN TEMPERATURE
CONTROL BY COAL FIRING
Kiln temp. is measured at kiln hood by
thermocouple.
Set point to the controller given by potentiometer
(1000Oc)
Output of controller goes to thyristor control
system which control speed of coal feed.

Conclusion
Instrumentation & control has plays a major role in
any process industry & I have seen this in cement
process plant. Various instruments are used for
measuring flow rate; temperature; pressure etc.
more accurately & safely.
The various control systems are used to minimized
the human need in some critical places with high
accuracy & good control over controlled variables.
