April Newsletter Theatre Arts
Congratulations to Grade 3 students for putting up a group presentation for the
class. It was very successful. The students finds the puppet plays very
entertaining and they had actually blew themselves up in a funny interaction of
their puppets. Good job boys and girls.

After using voice and props as tools for communicating and telling stories, we
move on to the next. Our whole body as a tool and instrument in expressing
emotions, feelings, and use as medium in communicating to the audience. We
started with the elements of space, time and energy. We explored how our body
fills in the space around us, how fast or how slow our body moves, and how light
and strong our body actions be. We listed out all action words on the board and
in time with the music we tried to demonstrate them before the class.
Thai
 We hope that everyone had a restful
Songkran break. For this quarter, the
students learned and practiced Thai manners.
There will be a Thai manner contest on May
21, 2010 from 7.30-9.00 at E401. We would
like to invite the parents to join our activity
and be judges for the contest. Thank you so
much.

ESL Language Tip
Read! Read! Read!
Try to take a few minutes each day to read with your child. Kids
enjoy this special time with their parents. You might read a story,
or maybe a magazine article - even directions to assemble
something,or a recipe that you are using. Read billboards, and
signs in stores. Take turns reading aloud, “echo” read, or read
together!
It doesn’t matter how or where you read.
It doesn’t matter what language you read in.
Reading aloud helps children develop fluency.
