Dear Mr Holland,
We are writing with reference to the consignment
of 500 air conditioners, model AL309 under Order
No. 479NQ shipped on the SS White Lotus which
arrived at Hai Phong Port on 15 December 20..

On examination, the consignment was found

in a short (missing) and damaged condition.
We had the cases examined by Hai Phong
Vinacontrol representatives and the Survey
Report indicates (shows):
1.

Against 500 air conditioners ordered, only

495 were found, 05 were missing.

2.

03 of the delivered units were damaged in

transit beyond repair due to poor
(substandard) packaging.

We enclose herewith the Survey Report and

the photos of the damaged goods and would
like you to arrange shipment of the missing
goods no later than 5 March 20.. as we
urgently need them to complete delivery to a
five-star hotel, 4 km to the South of Hanoi,
which is due to open by the end of March
20..

For the damaged goods, we are holding

them aside at your disposal. You can either
send someone to pick them up or have them
repaired and sell them off.

On the basis of the Survey Report, we would like to

make (lodge/register) a claim for the damages of
US$2,730.00 for these three units (US $910.00 per
unit) . Would you please pay the above sum by T/T
to our account at Vietcombank (Hanoi branch)
with all the expenses to your account.
