Week 12

November 20th - November 24h 2016

Unit 2: The Five Senses

Unit 3: Stories

This unit will introduce students to

classic stories that have been favorites
with children for generations. They will
meet memorable characters like
Goldilocks and the Billy Goats Gruff.
Students will also learn about trickster
tales and how smaller characters can
outwit larger, stronger characters. By
listening carefully to and discussing the
stories students will acquire an
understanding of the elements of a
story including characters, plot, and
setting. This unit will help students
develop an awareness of language to
help them become better writers and
readers. It will also introduce students
to recurring themes in popular culture
and children's literature.

Art
KG2 is learning about colors! We
learned what the 3 primary colors are,
and why they are so important and we
are having a lot of fun now making
secondary colors too. Please bring in art
aprons if you have not done so yet
(preferably without ties).
