Classroom News
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am so proud of the students Can do
it attitude in 2017! I am glad that
everyone had a happy and healthy new
year and I can tell that the students are
ready to hit the ground running. This
week the students shared their Winter
Break activities or Winter stories in a
descriptive writing assignment, and the
students began to think more critically
about zoos for their opinion writing
assignment. For Reading the students
learned about saving and spending
money, as we read a book that bridged
reading and math concepts. In Social
Studies the students learned about
rights and responsibilities citizens of the
United States have. Each group acted
out a characteristic of a good citizen as
well. Lastly, in Math class the students
reviewed Quarter 1 and Quarter 2
concepts and they took a review quiz.
The students will be diving back into
Eureka Math next week, so be prepared
for more Math homework!
Sincerely,

Ms. Ward
