was our

this week. She
likes basketball,
zebras, and Bad
Kitty books.

Classroom News
We had another week full of
excitement. To begin, in Reading
we learned about Uncle Sam and
the Statue of Liberty in order to
better understand informational
texts. Then in Math we started a
new module on time. Next, in
Social Studies we talked about land
forms, climate, natural hazards,
and natural resources. Finally, in
Writing we identified and wrote
topic sentences and relevant
details, and in Grammar we
learned to look for prefixes and
suffixes when discovering new
vocabulary words. Additionally, the
students had the chance to
participate in some Halloween
activities as well. The students
wrote a spooky Halloween story,
created classroom decorations,
and discussed character traits
related to certain costumes. Thank
you to all of the volunteers that
helped during our Halloween Party!
