It can be a scary week when Halloween falls on a school

night, especially on a Monday. But, week twelve was
anything but spooky. The students must have used the
Halloween candy to fuel themselves because they had
great energy all week. In math, we finished up our topic
on addition and our second to last facts test. In science,
we turned our classroom into a mad science lab with
students mixing genes of animals to create the perfect
animal. The students did so well that we taught our
reading buddies how to do it too. In middle of the week,
we enjoyed the 5th grade musical, Go West. The
students also got to watch a presentation from our
STEM Scouts to encourage their membership to their
club. To finish the week, we worked on our research.
