Language Arts: 4 types of sentences (declarative,

interrogative, exclamatory, and imperative). Your

child will use prefixes (re-, un-, dis-) to determine
meaning of words within context.

Reading: We will read and use Because of Winn Dixie
to discuss forms of text, problem and solution, and
indicate the sequence of events. When reading,
students will use context clues to determine the
meaning of unfamiliar words.

Social Studies: Characteristics of civilized tribes
and their locations on a map. Focus will be on Paleo,
Archaic, Woodland, and Mississippian Indians.

Math: Multiples and factors time! Homework will be
given throughout the week for independent practice.

Science: Your child is delving into the world of cells
and organelles. Today your child received The
Incredible Cell Project. More information can be
found in your childs binder!

Spell ing: Every week, your child will receive a new
word list after a Monday lesson. Students are
required to complete one activity from the menu at
home to turn in on Thursday. Tests will be every
Friday.
Please check your students binder daily. By the
end of the week, it will be organized for
success!
