We Wear Different Clothes in Summer,
Rainy and Winter Season.

Clothes Protects us from HEAT, COLD,

RAIN, DUST and INSECT BITES.
Clothes can be made from natural or synthetic
materials.

Natural fibres- these are made from parts of

plants or animals. Eg.- cotton, jute and linen
from plants whereas wool, silk and fur from
animals.
Synthetic fibres- these are prepared artificially
and are called manmade fabrics. Eg.- nylon,
rayon, polyester, etc.
Nylon is the strongest synthetic fibre as it is
a plastic made of a
long chain of molecules(polymer). It is
highly resistant to heat and
water and cannot be easily spoilt by
moulds, insects and fungi which
further makes it highly durable.
 The non-porous nature of the synthetic
fibres does not allow the
heat of the body to escape or the sweat to
dry, thereby causing
uneasiness. Therefore, synthetic fibres are
not good to be worn in
summer.
Once the cold season is over, the woollen
clothes must be kept out
in the sun for a few hours or dry cleaned.
They should be then stored
properly by keeping mothballs or dried
neem leaves between the folds.
We wear COTTON clothes when it is HOT.
They keep us COOL.
In Winter we wear WOOLLEN clothes. They
keep us WARM.
 We Wear a RAINCOAT when it RAINS. It
protects us from getting WET, sometimes, we
carry an UMBRELLA
Children wear UNIFORMS to SCHOOL
