Experiment: Viscosity

Viscosity of Honey
Experiment

Viscosity The measure of a

liquid from thick and sticky to
runny.

A liquid that is easy to pour has

low viscosity.

A liquid that is difficult to pour has

Question
How will different temperatures
affect the viscosity of honey?

Hypothesis means what you think will

happen before doing the experiment.

I think the honey at lower temperatures

will have higher viscosity and pour
more slowly. Honey at higher
temperatures will have low viscosity
and pour more easily.

Procedure
Procedure instructions on the
steps so others can also test the
experiment.
1. Prepare 4 sets of honey (80g) at
different temperatures in the
freezer, refrigerator, room and
microwave.
2. Pour the honey at different
temperatures and time it.
Results
What happened in the experiment?

Results are when you write the

measurements of what happened in
the experiment.

Write the measurements and make a

bar graph that shows the time to
pour honey at the different
temperatures.
